Happy (Photo) Friday! What's on your menu and plans?

Good morning everyone! We made it to the end of the work week!
I had to do a very quick meeting at 4:45 this morning, so I'm already done with my coffee for the morning; it seems like a long morning without more coffee so I might have one more cup. My excitement for the day is the fridge guy is coming to see why my water dispenser tells me I don't have a filter in there when I do...and since it thinks that there's no filter it won't dispense water, hopefully he can fix it up today. I think of it as a very valuable tool for hitting my hydration goals!
I am giving myself a weekend away from technology; I find myself doomscrolling a bit through the various internet platforms so a break is due. My last meeting today is over at 3 and by 3:30 I will be off line til monday morning! I have a pretty open weekend, even my trainer moved our session that is usually tomorrow to earlier in the week so it will be nice to have no agenda.
QOTD - if you owned (or own) a boat, what would you name it? I love all those puny names you see but I would probably go with Gemenon, one of the ships from Battlestar Galactica.
menu today
coffee plus the willy Wonka creamer Teenie and Cheapskate raved about X2. It's yummy but I'm using more than a serving to get the flavor:-(
Korean fire chicken X 2
cheese and pepperoni (maybe a few crackers)
L&F greek
My pix today are my lilac in the snow; part of the double rainbow after Wednesday's hail and then my friends and I bundled up for the show in front of the post hail rainbow.
have a great Friday and weekend everyone!

Good mornin Jen and thanks for getting us started! Tech free weekend sounds fabulous...I just may do the same.
Yesterday was SUPER frustrating. I have to see my past and unfortunately still current neurosurgeon on the 19th where he will most likely preach about the pain pump he wants me to get. I've done a lot...I mean A LOT of research and I don't want it. At least at this point. I just got so stressed out yesterday and mad. He should just do the right thing by ME instead of delaying **** yet again to get his point shown yet again. I'm so ready to just get things done. I would love to be able to live life again...if even just a little bit more.
Not sure what today'll hold. Really hoping for not much.
QOTD: One of my grandpa"s tank during his time in Italy he names crusader. I'd use that. It was his favorite one...I think because his best friend had been with him on it before he was killed.
not sure for the most part on the menu. I was lazy this morning and had rice chex cereal with almond milk. I had part of a banana just a few minutes ago. The rest is just not decided yet. I'll have a yogurt sometime in the day.
my pics are one of a shelf cloud from a storm Wednesday take from my backyard. One of my Percy in his favorite spot. And of course Mona.

Hi Melody-I am curious what it is about the pain pump that you dont want? I dont know much about them, I have taken care of patients with them but definitely not my area of expertise or knowledge base since chronic pain management is its own area of specialty. Just curious and since you have already done the research you can teach me :-)

Mostly due to people I've talked to who have had it. I'd say around 80% of them were unhappy. I also don't like the idea of the refill thing. They fill it through a shot into the device through your skin. It just kind of scares me. My pain management doc said it's a last resort for most patients she said.
I'm honestly in a real scared place. I'm really afraid. The thought of pain in this severity for the rest of my life is scary. I don't know that I'd want to do that.

I fly back to Chicago at about 3:00 this afternoon. I should be back home by 7:00 if all goes smoothly. My team tied for first place in the Salsa making competition yesterday.
Marilyn is going to be away this weekend, so I?m going to try and have a productive weekend with some gym, errands and work stuff.
QOTD: Caulk and Sympathy.

Menu is up in the air (literally), but I had scrambled eggs and ham for breakfast.
Have a great day, all!
