This evening there's an article in People, interview with Ann Wilson, says they stopped feeding in 2019 and while they both have solo albums coming out right now, they plan on touring as Heart again soon. Keep an eye out!

Happy Cinco

I totally forgot it was Cinco d' Mayo. I use to think that it was Mexico's independence day not just battle won by Mexico during the 1862 Franco-Mexico war. Apparently, Cinco is only a minor holiday in Mexico. Growing up in Montana I dont think I ever even heard about the holiday but once I moved to California it was a big deal. Good excuse to have Mexican food and buy avocados for cheap!

Dressing for the weather definitely can make or break your fun when you are outside. Hot or cold. It seems I have a low tolerance for cold weather anymore. When I go to hot yoga (before starting the workout) I think that the room feels so good. I look forward to seeing how I tolerate the summer heat. I am glad you had fun at your concert.

My DD has been struggling with geometry. Does anyone remember taking geometry in high school? I have tried to help her but I also did not do so good in hs geometry either (I think I got out of there with a C). It seems that most people who have taken geometry say they also struggled. I have had to hire a tutor for her since I am no help. Dad is no help either since he struggles with most math, definitely not his strong suit. DD is stressed that her grade in this class will lower her overall GPA, affecting her chances to get a scholarship for college. She is basically a straight A student.

QOTD: Guns and Roses use to be on my bucket list but I did see them a couple of years ago. It was an awesome concert. 3 hours of non-stop GNR. Jim, GNR seems like they would be on your list to see? I suppose U2 would be cool to see since they have so many hits, although I am not a super fan. Not really sure I have anyone on my bucket list right now. The next concert I am going to is Mom Jeans (next week), then My Chemical Romance (October).

On the local news this morning (CA) it said Cinco De Mayo was celebrating Mexican-American heritage. It's an excuse to eat tacos, like I need one!

G'morning all!

Happy Cinco de Mayo. No taco celebrations here.

Jen, I get you on the Sith.

Happy you had a great concert. I love your quote about clothing "no such thing as bad weather, just bad clothing choices", I abide by that when going skiing.

QOTD: I hope this doesn't get me kicked out of this group but I'm not a big concert goer. If a friend or family member insists and wants me to go along, I'll go, but going to concerts are not on my bucket list.

Accountability: between DH & I we finished a whole bag of chips in a pickle. I wasn't even hungry but that salty pickle-y taste kept calling me. He is very particular about not eating out of the bag and pouring stuff in a plate (I don't have those kind of qualms), so we kept going back to the pantry pouring it into the plate and coming back to the table. It took us 4 trips to finish the bag. I'm saying this to show that I had 4 occasions to stop it and I didn't.

My meals yesterday :

  • Coffee
  • Scrambled eggs & shredded cheese
  • chomp stick, epic chicken, Fage yogurt, chips in a pickle
  • Caramel washed Gouda, raisin rosemary crisps, grapes
  • E: cardio + weight

Happy cinco de mayo!

Well, the chips are out of the house now, and in our stomach not in the trash...unfortunately. I've had 2-3 bags of them for ages but never felt the urge to attack them like this.
Caramel Gouda is TJ's cheese of the month; so good with those rosemary crips and grapes.
