^^this is how we should all go through life!

Good morning and welcome to Thursday! I hope everyone is getting ready to wrap up a productive week!

QOTD - What is something people are always surprised to learn about you? I have a stutter and trouble with saying my Rs...as a kid it made me painfully "I only talk to my family, I won't even ask a question of a stranger or teacher" shy. I knew it wasn't a sustainable scenario so one day I just walked in and joined the speech and debate team (in jr high); I was very bad at it, burst into tears and ran out of the room during my first competition...but I got better! No one that knew me before high school every believes I was shy.

I know I have a lot of meetings today, including a three hour technology info session but I don't think there's anything super pressing or dreadful in there so that's nice; feeling like April will get closed out nicely.

Yesterday, I ended up doing a 14 minute high intensity workout - 1 minute warm up, 1 minute of boxing, any punch you wanted; 1 minute of jump squats; repeat for 12 minutes and then 1 minute of stretching. I don't usually jump during jump squats but I did....whoo-hee, essentially 6 minutes of boxing, 6 minutes of jump squats and I was drenched and today I'm feeling it -- in a good "you worked out" way. Add in new tortures from my PT and it was a full body experience. Not sure what I'll do today; maybe take that rest day I keep talking about or do something a bit lower key like a walk.

Menu today:

coffee plus half and half X 2

deli chicken with cheddar

meatballs with cheese

I really need to eat the blackberries I keep putting on my menu

greek yogurt

Have a terrific day everyone!

Good morning, everybody!

Jen, Isn't it amazing how good workout sweaty feels and how gross stressful conference call sweaty feels? Not that I know anything about Biology, but I think that there is a chemical difference. Google "Fight Gone Bad" - its a similar workout and result.

I've noticed that there has a been very little talk of the NFL draft here this week. No doubt you have all been playing your selections close to the vest. Waiting to spring that Division Two slot corner with the 6.78 3 cone shuttle that you mocked to Baltimore in the second round on me. I know your tricks.

Me and Marilyn watched a news segment on Corgi racing the other day. I can't remember whether it was on a sports show or a news show, but they race at Emerald Downs in Eastern Washington. They are so cute. Of course there are treats when they are done racing.

Tonight, Marilyn and the tennis ladies are going to dinner at Restoration Hardware. They moved from inside the mall to a big Out lot and built a restaurant and showroom. I think that they did so in a few places. I am curious to hear how she likes it. I am sure that the decor is quite nice.

This is the last day of the conference. I am worn out. Three Hours of traffic and 9 hours of lecture is killing me. Hoping to get home in time and with enough energy to make the 7:30 Crossfit class before I collapse on the couch to watch the Draft tonight. Felt a little better yesterday with fewer (but still too many) carbs.

QOTD: I don't have anything good. I will circle back if I think of something.

Breakfast: Sandwich

Lunch: Conference food

Dinner: Hello Fresh

Have a great day, all!

Hang in there, this conference sounds rough! Very little talk, lol... The draft is not my thing, I don't know enough about the college teams/players for it to be interesting. Rob will watch for sure. Enjoy!

I want Seattle to draft Kayvon Thibodeaux from Oregon he is an amazing player but will probably end up on a dog team, I know that's insulting to dogs. Unless it's on the antenna I probably won't see the draft. I just need to check up on my guys from Oregon.

Pittsburgh is without a Quarterback and Brent Michaels of the Band Poison has Actually called the Rooney family pleading for them to pick the quarterback from Ole Miss. Matt Corral. Brent is from the Pittsburgh Area just north of here but I don't know what kind of clout he has when influencing a draft. So I am intrigued. We have Pic # 20.

We were at the Sugar Bowl where he got hurt. He looked good before the injury.
