Mornin' Everyone!
I have my documentary film discussion group at 10:00 this morning. It's at a coffee shop practically next door to my mother's senior apt complex, so I'll go visit her afterward. I think her hip/leg is a little better - she's now just taking OTC pain relievers - but she seems very frail nonetheless. She said she's lost three lbs since this happened, and she's pretty little to begin with. I hope this isn't the beginning of a decline.
other than that, I'll keep chipping away at things that need to be done before we head to Italy. Like getting this house straightened up.
QOTD: well, now it is mostly Mah Jongg and online word games such as (online) crossword puzzles, Wordle, Quordle, and Waffle (a new Wordle-like game), but in the past I've enjoyed Yahtzee, Boggle, and Trivial Pursuit (Jen - your comment about the latter reminded me of something - I used to hate it when my Dad played TP. The man was like a walking encyclopedia, and he'd always win the damn game before anyone else even had a chance to take a turn!!)
B: plain Greek yogurt topped with 2 T cherry/cranberry compote. Coffee with half & half
MS: we'll be at the coffee shop (film discussion group). Hopefully I can stick to just a latte (with SF syrup). Maybe I'll take a protein bar along with just in case
L: I'll be at my mom's, so I have no idea. I'm now thinking maybe I should take some things with me to eat. I overate yesterday, so I don't want a repeat today.
AS: protein shake or protein muffin
L: leftover Indian bean curry
ex; I'd better do something since I didn't yesterday. I'll check to see what cardio classes are going on this afternoon or this evening.
have a great day, everyone!

Good Morning Jen and Menuers,
Love the Meme reminds me of Costa Rica. I hope to get back there some day.
So I am seeing slow improvements in my arm. They said it would be slow. I am just glad most hygiene and grooming are almost back to normal. Even though I use my left hand to write I never realized that my right is still the dominate of the 2. I have a pedicure scheduled for lunch and PT after work. I have to do 4 PT sessions a day that take about 15 minutes to stretch my arm. It's crazy laying on my office floor but I really want to get this arm back to as close to normal as possible.
QOTD: I really have not played in a long time but don't get me wrong I can play some killer Candy Land considering It might be the only game I actually have a chance at. I used to play Risk it was a go to in my 20's and 30's. I also bought Throw Throw Burrito a couple years ago and the pandemic didn't let enough of us to get together to play it. I'll need to circle back to see how to play it again.

Goid for you for taking your PT seriously! I've heard so many examples of people not and then being angry they didn't recover this mobility!

We used to love Candyland.
In college we were part of this effort to have the world's largest Twister game, but I don't know if we made the record.

There was an episode of The King of Queens where the guys were putting bets on what the See and Say would land on. Wish I had known that in college. I never pass up a change to gamble.

I had to do that with my ankle rehab! Twice a day I shut my office door and put a blanket down. I did my routine and then, because being non weight bearing on one side is exhausting, I often fell asleep for a short nap. After I got over feeling guilty about the nap, I began to really look forward to it. And nobody bothered me because they all new I was doing my "therapy" ?
