What's on your Wednesday menu, RNYers?
My grandma taught me gin. She and her friends had these gin parties at each other's houses and a lot of money exchanged hands. I was like the water boy when it was at her house. I would help out with set up and fetch anything they needed, but grandma would let me sit behind her and watch her play. I can be a mean gin player.

Oh heck no! These women had their wits about them to win. Coffee and tea through the afternoon, wine with dinner, and maybe a sherry towards the end of the night. Gin parties were serious affairs for them.

My cat was in/outdoor and always brought us presents. She got older, and we were able to convert her from in/outdoor cat to in house/garage cat. The garage is her "out" place now. No more "gifts", dead or alive.

That is a great idea. He'll be 15 next month and is still scrappy - not slowing down yet. He is the only cat I've ever had so I have no idea what to expect as far as his aging goes. He's a big ginger tabby.

BTW: because we don't want her to be outside anymore, we try to make sure one of us accidently doesn't open the garage doors when she is inside. So we have a little magnet we put on the house garage doors (doors are metal - fire proof) "Emma is in the garage". That way one of us can let her out and the other person would know that's where she is. We always bring her back into the house for the night, but if she accidently is left there - not a big problem. We do have a water for her in the garage (changed daily, if she goes in the garage daily) plus a littler box. That gives her "privacy" from us and the other cat we have. She sometimes scratch the door if she really wants to come home.
Once we made her a fully indoor cat - we put 2 large cat trees in the house so she can watch the outside, and she would have a place to jump - climb on. The other cat also uses them.
It really saves money for vet care, plus keeps her safer in the house. At that age, 15, she is a senior, and by keeping her home, we could stop using chemicals on her (revolution for cats).

I grew up playing games all the time. Chess, backgammon, Monoply, checkers, bingo, and many others. We all got games for Christmas and played them in the summer and on Saturdays. After I got married and started playing games with my husband's family, I quickly realized that I never won because they all cheated. That ended any desire to play with them. I will play a computer game until I can win effortlessly, then lose interest.

Do you have a tablet? My favorite tablet game is Best Fiends (QJB mentioned it in a qotd years ago and I'm still playing it daily).

QOTD- I haven't played any games for years, me and my roommate would play online poker and get in the same room and take them to the cleaners. I used to love Texas Holdem but not in real life I have no poker face...
I've got 2 offers on my condo, first one is full price and the second one is 10K less than asking. So I've told her to accept the first one. It's 200K down and finance the rest so I feel comfortable with that.
I can't seem to stop snacking, I found these fig olive crisps at TJ's and for some reason I just can't quit eating them. So I'm not going to buy anymore of them. My jeans are getting tight and I can't blame it on the dryer.
I get my hair done this afternoon which is all I have scheduled today. I think I will run by storage and get some clothes before I go to the salon. But I don't want to go down that rabbit hole, this is only temporary so I'm not going to drag anymore stuff here than I really need.
I've got my cleaning person back, she will come on Friday. I had to convince my roommate, but I won't have her touch his room or bathroom. I just know I'm not good at it and really would rather do something else.
I'd better get to work. Have a great day everyone!
