We have a beautifully clean house right now for Easter, but it got that way by me throwing everything that I couldn't find home for into the garage, lol. There is no winning.

Good morning from Las Vegas! Having a wonderful time, but there sure are a lot of temptations here, in every way thinkable. Yesterday I had bites of gelato, fried chicken, a deep dish pancake (so not worth calories, easy to step away from) and a second ****tail even though I told myself I was having only one. My son's work/lifestyle has him in great bars and restaurants constantly so it's a minefield for me. A pleasant minefield, with French fries and good wine vs actual mines, but still.
Happiest of birthdays, Jim! I hope Marilyn is feeling fine by this evening and the weather cooperates. Today is supposed to be crazy winds and warm temps here. We've got Topgolf and dinner at a new restaurant on the agenda.
QoTD: Definitely Las Vegas Knights hockey. Went to the game last night and we won in overtime.
food today will be to continue to make the best choices I can with a few fun bites for indulgence.
Exercise doesn't look likely, but I am walking a lot each day.
Peace Everbody!

I have not been to Vegas in years, but always ended up eating a lot of shrimp ****tails. I remember a place where they were 99 cents and they also had 99 cent frozen margaritas. It was downtown and across from the Fremont. I remember going to a fabulous breakfast buffet at the Horseshoe. My brother and I kept filling our plates, while my husband and brother's wife sat smoking cigarettes and shaking their heads in disgust at how much we were eating.
We were still there when they bought out the lunch buffet and told us that we were welcome to help ourselves to that. I remember having prime rib from that buffet. Of course this was before weight loss surgery, and I could not do that now.

I'm totally jealous that you're in Vegas! How was seeing the game at T-Mobile Arena? Vegas, for me, was all about excess in the past. Now that I don't drink or overeat, I'm not sure if Vegas will be the same. However, I still love to gamble!

Vegas truly is the same post surgery. I'm just making good choices with a few treats , but moving a lot. I see nothing wrong with ordering something amazing and just eating the parts I want and walk away. Though I do always ask that the don't serve the bread. This morning I had a roasted chicken breast sandwich with French cheese and aioli with greens. Hold the brioche please. Ate half and it was perfect!! Tonight we are doing a small local place. Spanish tapas with an Italian twist. Anima. Sister of EDO with the bikini sandwich. I'm drooling. We'll order several things and I will take a few bites of them.
Let me be clear when I say no other NHL team puts on a show production like Vegas. There is stuff going on everywhere. Constant fan interaction. Showgirls, drum lines, music, movie clips, big stars doing shout outs on the big screen. You can even look at a board and see how long of a line there is at the food place you to eat at. And the food is fabulous. Viva Las Vegas. I highly recommend!
