G'morning all!
Oh dear, QJB, tums and crackers are no bueno. Keep some protein bars in your drawer for days like this. I like the barebells, quests are good too. But at least you are eating some sort of protein.
Another sign that we are getting old, in addition to being excited about our clean garage. When DH purchased last night's show tickets, there was supposed to be only one show. They found out yesterday that there was an earlier show on the same day. So two shows: one at 6:00 and one at 9:00. DH and his buddy were desperately trying to move their tickets to the earlier show and griping about how late they were gonna get out of the second show. If that's not the sign of aging I don't what is.
QOTD: I become a raving lunatic every 4 years during the World Cup, especially if Italy is in it. Other than that don't know anything about the sports shown on TV. I gotta say one of the things that attracted me to DH was that he doesn'****ch sports on TV (unless it's surfing, and how often do you see a surf competition on TV?), so we are a not a sports watching family. I did embarrass my family when I mixed up the SF giants with the 49ers because I didn't know which one was/is a baseball team and which one was/is a football team.
My meals yesterday :
- Coffee
- Open face chicken burrito
- Mini froyo
- Shrimp salad
- E: 5 miles jog
Happy almost Fri-yay!

Show time for anything is always a huge consideration for us, too! And a clean garage is a work of art IMHO.

I am super excited and proud of you for the clean garage. I was looking at mine yesterday and planning a few improvements for this summer. I have to hire a handyman to put up some new hooks and shelves, but it will be worth it. Today is the start of my annual organizing of papers and going through files and getting rid of things I no longer need to keep. Sorting and shredding should keep me busy for a few days. I am still hoping to see pictures of the garage one of these days.

You actually gave me the idea with some bins you linked a while back. My deal with DH was if we go through the whole garage and organize and see that we need more room (we have shelves on all the walls) we get those hanging bins, or whatever they are called. But lo and behold after 5 dump runs and something about 20 huge garbage bags we didn't need any more space. Some shelves are actually half empty and can take more of our junk for the next 20 years.

Sometimes I will be somewhere like Walmart and see a person filling up their cart with all kinds of storage bins because they are determined to get organized. I want to gently shake them and tell them not to buy the storage bins until they clean and organize. Then determine exactly what you need for storage. You and your hubby did it the right way.
I laughed to myself recently when I mentioned getting rid of the treadmill in my basement that I no longer use because my legs get too sore and cramped. My boyfriend said to make sure I saved the motor because it is a really good motor. It is exactly what my husband did. He was always saving motors because they were good motors. After he passed away, I had to get rid of them when I cleaned out the garage.
So many of us use our homes as storage for things we have no use for. I take things to Goodwill, call St. Vincent De Paul, advertise on Freecycle, put them at the curb or pay to have them hauled away if that is the only option. I love the idea of Swedish death cleaning. It sounds morbid, but just means having your house really clean and organized so you don't burden the people who survive you with cleaning up after you are gone.
