Ouch!
I was afraid I would get bitten cleaning the garage, but I escaped unscathed.

Good morning, everybody!
We made the Thai Iced Coffee this weekend. On Saturday we had it topped with coconut milk and on Sunday we had it topped with Heavy Cream. The Sunday version tasted just like the one I had in Hawaii, which makes me think that it was topped with cream despite what I ordered.
Anyways, I ordered LaVazza Il Filtro Classico coffee beans and a no sugar added condensed milk from Newa Nutrition (both on Amazon). Its basically 16 ounces of coffee and 5 tablespoons of condensed milk (which is 1 tablespoon of powder and 4 of water, whipped for 3 minutes). We poured it over ice and refrigerated it for about 2 hours and then served with the cocunut milk or cream. The coconut milk that we used was canned, so it was lumpy. But the heavy cream version was so good.
Even though the condensed milk has no added sugar, dairy does have sugar, so it still works out to about 130 calories, including the cream. Probably more of an occasional treat than an everyday drinker.
Sounds like I had the same Easter dinner as Jen - it was yum!
QOTD: When Marilyn was expecting our first, I had a training in Orlando. We rented a condo in Marco Island for the week after the training. Her flight got in and she was going to pick up the car and meet me at my hotel so that we could drive down to the beach. Well, I'm sitting in the bar waiting for her and the hours are going by. It turns out that she landed in Orlando, picked up the car, took a wrong turn out of the airport, and kept driving until she reached the Atlantic. When she got back from Cocoa Beach we rented a hotel room in Orlando and drove west the next day.
Breakfast: Ham and cheese omlette
Lunch: Mahi burger
Dinner: Hello Fresh
Have a great day, all!

Oh, memories like that make me so thankful for GPS. My first GPS was called Earthmate. I think it cost about $500 and was a large yellow box that you have to attach to your laptop. You had to download programs to the laptop and then stop and get the data to the GPS before you turned the GPS on. It looked like a bright yellow radio of some kind. I was at a meeting in Indianapolis, and someone suggested we drive to a restaurant for lunch.
I got in my car, programmed my Earthmate, and was first to arrive at the restaurant. It took about 10 minutes. It was more than an hour before most people found it and a lot of grumbling about how difficult their drive had been. I decided that GPS was a hassle, but worth it. When GM introduced OnStar I was one of rhe first to buy and use that. Not having to download the software to the computer and then to the Earthmate was wonderful. All I had do was press the OnStar button, tell the operator my addresss and the directions were sent to my car.
Real life begins where your comfort zone ends
This was 1997, so definitely pre Google maps on a phone.

Welcome to the Lavazza family.
You know here in US some families are strictly coke and some are strictly Pepsi?
In Italy we have that kind of devotion for our Lavazza vs Illy! I am and have always been on Lavazza team, while to my horror DD prefers Illy.
