I'm in a very weird situation food wise . Unwantedly and definitely for any logical or political reason I became a vegetarian about basically three-four months ago .

I pretty much subsist on fat free " cream" soups like fat free cream of mushroom and tom Ka which is the coconut milk based Thai version of chicken soup . I literally can and will eat a quart of that a day .

Otherwise I'm eating fat free cottage cheese ( by the large container****asionally a bit of light peanut butter on toast and some fruit juice and fat free milk and a very occasional fat free or lowfat salad . Meat and pizza literally get thrown up and trust me I've tried - I even cooked for others and ended up throwing it out myself despite it tasting good .

Anyone else have this experience? Ty

Not sure what the issue is? There are a few vegetarians on here and becoming a vegetarian isn't an issue in and of itself.

If you feel like you're struggling with disordered eating (which is what it sounds like) do you have a registered dietician you can follow up with? Or support for the head issues that surgery doesn't work on?

Good morning, everybody!

Here is the surprise birthday workout:

6 rounds

12 Kettle Bell swings 35 pounds

4 jumping pull-ups

16 thrusters 45 pounds

19 Overhead squats 45 pounds

70 jumping jacks

5 Burpee jumping pull-ups

200 meter run

I think I've got it. it's a lot of work, but none of the movements are that hard. I will probably do it at 3:30. I actually don't know what all of the numbers signify, but 4/16/1970 is the birthday.

A few work things popped up, so I don't think that I will be able to make it to Nordstrom today.

There is a new set of quarters starting this year. It celebrates women in American History. The first 2022 quarter was Maya Angelou, which we have. The Dr. Sally Ride quarters are coming out any day. Since we are collecting these contemporaneously rather than trying to backfill years at a time, it should be pretty easy to find them. Marilyn sent away for a free sleeve from the U.S. Mint.

We spoke to our older son on Monday night. It seems like his exams went well for the most part. I try not to focus on grades too much because he is working so hard he doesn't need any more pressure than he is already imposing on himself. My youngest may be a different story.

Plans for the weekend are the birthday workout today, Happy Hour tonight (we haven't got together in a few weeks). Tomorrow is a Passion themed workout that includes walking 800 meters with a 95 pound barbell. Sunday is Ham.

QOTD: That is a good question. I am not sure what the right numbers. Usually I sleep 5 or 6 hours with the CPAP, get up to pee and sleep 2 or so without it. Sometimes I nap.

Breakfast: Sausage and cottage cheese

Lunch: Roast beef

Dinner: Happy Hour

Have a great day, all!

Oh, I did not know Sally Ride was next; I think Maya's quarter is beautiful.

I'm not really sure what "delivered" means. I guess they get delivered to banks and that's how they circulate?

Hey Everyone, Long time no see. I haven't even had a chance to read in ages. I am underwater at work and really struggling with whether I should stay there or not. So many crises and upsetting things happening around me every day. It's pretty terrifying to walk away without another job lined up but this place is a disaster and I am not sure I am up for the drama. I tried to quit on Monday but they convinced me to stick it out a little longer. TBD. But I am off today and Monday for the holiday weekend so I hope I can sort out my feelings and make a decision.

Anyway--miss you all :) Jen, I hope you dad is okay!

QOTD: 5 usually does it for me.

Menu is up in the air, unfortunately, because Grim is kindly painting the kitchen, which is awesome, but also very hard to cook in it right now. I assume will grab a yogurt or something that doesn't need heating or prep for lunch, then go out to dinner ;)

I am sure you know it is better to have the new job lined up before you quit. There are so many companies looking for someone like you and they will give you the salary, benefits, and working conditions you want. I really would like to see you in a great position where you can work from home full time. And do your work, feel appreciated, and have a stress free work life.

I think you would find flexjobs.com a great place to look. It costs about $10 or so a month, but they only have jobs where they investigate the companies and make sure that the offers are legit. There are a lot scams out them. But a lot of great opportunities.
