I watched the Flight Attendant awhile ago. I really liked it. I heard there will be another season. I wonder if she will continue to sleep around, get drunk and make bad decisions? Good show.

Mornin everyone.

been having a week. My back has been miserable and worse than usual. Oh well. Still no word on the myelogram. I have talked with them and it's some hang up with preauthorization crap. I just want to get this **** going. The steroids did nothing but make me puffy and have high BS's.

since school is out today we're watching the kids until 6 tonight. Should be an interesting day.

I'm going to make a Mexican inspired casserole today with some homemade green sauce. I'm pretty excited about that.

my weight is all over the place. Up then down and so on. I need to really get ahold of myself but it seems so daunting. Grrrr.

QOTD: I do best with 6 solid sleep hours but lately it's blocks of around 45 minutes to an hour. I haven't been moving in my sleep so I wake up in pain.

my pics are of Mona flopping on my whilst petting her and a meme I saw this morning on FB.

Mornin' All!

I took my mother to the doctor's yesterday and am glad I went in the room with her. I'll do that from now on. She doesn't always answer questions correctly and doesn't bring up issues that she intended to bring up. Plus we were told that my sister and I absolutely should NOT be working 8-12 hours shifts anymore - it's not sustainable and can cause resentment to build up. Mom needs to pay for someone to come in and do a lot of this stuff, and my sister and I need to go back to being just her family - family that drops by to visit and keep her company - and not necessarily every day..and certainly not for 8-12 hours. Of course, I knew all of this - but I think my mother needed to hear it from a third party. Hopefully she had the volume on her hearing aids turned up when that was said.

well I took my cat to the vet clinic yesterday just to find out that his appt is today, not yesterday. This whole Mom thing has gotten me stressed out and has disrupted my usual routine enough that I'm not always thinking straight. Thank God this is almost over. So...vet appt today. I'll go over to Mom's this afternoon, but just for a couple of hours. The person who agreed to provide services during the mornings will start on Tuesday, so thankfully this is almost over. Nothing else on the agenda today other than I need to buckle down and get things ready for my Italy trip and do some housecleaning.

QOTD: I average around six hours but wish I could sleep more. I'm always excited when my Fitbit tells me I slept seven hours or more, which happens maybe once a week. I can't even remember the last time I slept eight hours. Maybe when I was completely exhausted after returning from some overseas adventure??? Besides that, probably many years ago.

B: plain Greek yogurt with cranberry/cherry compote, coffee with half & half

MS: protein shake

L: a cup of asparagus soup and some L&F yogurt

AS: protein bar??

D: no idea although I have to have steamed asparagus on the side, which I've been writing down every day but STILL haven't had it because I'm always late getting home from my mother's and have no desire or energy to prep anything. The stuff is going to rot if sits much longer in my fridge. So maybe I'll have that with one of those Jimmy Dean light breakfast sandwiches (with the egg white and turkey sausage).

ex: something. Probably a youtube video since it's too cold & windy to walk outside today.

have a great day, all!

Sorry that you are having a tough time of it with your Mom. Hopefully the reinforcement from the Doctor was what she needed to move forward with an aid.
