Tuesday is here, what's on your menu?
Mornin' All!
another hour or so to myself before I head back over to Mom's. I decided after this week, I'm only going to pop over for a couple hours a day and help her with whatever she needs helping with. I can't do these 12-hour shifts much longer. She did talk to a home health aide yesterday who helps some other people in her building, and this person is also willing to come in for a couple of hours a day, so between the two of us, and likely my sister pitching in for a couple of hours as well, Mom may be fine. I went to my book discussion group yesterday and was away for 2.5 hours, and Mom did fine, so...
I have an online Mah Jongg game later this afternoon, but that's it. I'll try to take a walk this morning since they're calling for heavy rain this afternoon. Other than that, not much on the agenda.
QOTD: I used to go to art museums in whatever city I happened to be visiting. I still do sometimes. I especially love modern art (and I'm talking roughly 1900-1950 here, which is different from what's known as "contemporary art", which is the latter half of the 20th century up until today). If the museum features a lot of Picasso, Van Gogh, Chagall, etc etc etc, I'm there!
B: plain skyr or yogurt with cranberry/cherry compote. Coffee with half & half
MS: protein shake
L: might take a protein muffin with me - or some asparagus soup (which I'd have alongside some protein)
AS: Greek yogurt with some WASA crackers
D: ?? Maybe a vegan burger with steamed asparagus
have a great day, everyone!!
hi all
today shouldn't be terrible I don't think. i ate way more veggies yesterday than I usually do, a little bit of indigestion. today i have leftovers since the zucchini /chicken sausage made 3 servings plus extra sauce for something else? I made pork eggrolls yesterday and a pork noodle dish for DH.
QOTD: I'm not sure, i would have like to spend more time at the MET. we got there later in the day so didn't get to cover it all. The modern art museum in NY was cool also. I think DH liked it better than the met.
Food plan:
b: coffee, coffee, egg whites, cheese, low carb wrap
s: apple.cheese stick
l: zuchinni/chicken sausage/sauce
d: sloppy joe redo. made last week with turkey and it was not super fresh so it tasted like crap. redo with ground round...

I was surprised how much I like MoMA, modern art isn't really my thing but it was fantastic

G'morning all!
Oooh, I would click on Murder and more murder. Not too much into cake baking shows. Tue has one thing going for it, it has been associated with Tacos for eternity. No other day of the week has a specific food.
After our great sunny weekend, yesterday all of a sudden we had a ton of rain. Very bad for our garage cleaning plans, because all the garbage bags from cleaning said garage were on the side of the house due to the dump being closed on Sun. Does that make sense that dump is closed on Sundays? Don't most people do these kind of chores on weekends? Anyway, poor DH did two runs to the dump yesterday before going to work. He doesn't have a truck, hence the two runs. We had thought we could leave everything till today, his WFH day, but Mother Nature decided otherwise. Nothing worse than soggy trash bags.
QOTD: I love all kinds of museums and make a point of visiting them in whichever town I'm in. But I noticed I like better the smaller off the beaten path sort of museums. 2-3 rooms and very concentrated on a specific subject. Speaking of murder, in a small town in an alley I happened upon a little museum, it looked like a handmade store. But once you walked in it'd take your breath away. It was about the murders that had happened in that neighborhood back in 1600 and about the people, their families, and their homes. When I walked out of there I felt like I knew that neighborhood so much better. I like big museums too and visit them, but smaller local ones are my favorite.
My meals yesterday :
- Coffee
- Eggs & tuna pouch
- L&F yogurt, hot cocoa
- Air fry salmon
- E: supposed to jog, but due to rain switched to cardio + weight
Happy taco Tue!
