My sister always makes quiche for Easter and Christmas brunch. You could do that using a prepared pie crust!

Good morning! Up since 3:45 am over here. Still sort of failing (or flailing) at the not working thing. Everything seems to be money spending centered and I am trying to break that habit to entertain myself. So on that front, I am happy to report there were no meals at restaurants all weekend! I cooked or reheated something for every meal. Cleaned out my shoe racks. Need to run by Goodwill again today to do a drop off. I did go out to Costco for groceries and got myself new Beats ear pods as I have managed to truly lose my last pair. I can't think of another bag/purse/jacket/pocket they could be in and I do loving having music when I am walking or grocery shopping. Rog went with me for groceries, so we both got things that fit our wants and our schedules for the day time. I don't want to get in the habit of cooking breakfast or lunch for him. I know I would. That would wreck my menu and he's been doing just fine the last 4 years of retirement feeding himself. I watched Trisha Yearwood's cooking show this weekend, and then bought the stuff to make a breakfast quiche that will work with a salad for dinner too. I can eat the insides and not the pie crust, and Rog can have the carbs.
Today, I have a dreaded dermatology appointment. These things never really go great for this original white girl. No matter how much sunscreen I apply, the damage from childhood is done, and now it's just a matter of catching it before it's gets big. I know already I have to have a large spot removed from my chest. No fat there. That's gonna smart for a few days. But I am thinking about walking to my appointment for my exercise today. It's about two miles, each way with one hella hill in the middle. I hate parking over there, so this could be a win for me.
QoTD: Just started playing Wordle. I was so intimidated to try it, like I was going to be judged nationally on my skill set. Happy to say I am doing pretty ok on it. I like the mental challenge. Made a note to look at Framed.
Menu: Not sure what's up with me, but my weight is creeping up daily. Even though I added SO much more actual exercise last week. I am pretty sure my metabolism just likes to F with me for entertainment.
B: hb egg, cottage cheese
L: leftover Chorizo beans, sprinkling of cheese, lettuce, tomato and avo
D: meatloaf and tomatoes and a bite or two of the Mac and Cheese I bought for Rog
Peace Everybody!

I hear you on the dermatology appointments, Lisa. The resident was shocked last time that I didn't want to do another round of Flourouracil.

That is the downside of retirement when you have to start thinking about how much money you are spending. I never really budgeted before retirement and there was plenty of income for things I wanted. I don't like that feeling of worrying about running out of money which is one reason I work a few months every year.
I'm not worried (yet) about running out of money, thankfully. It's just that my habits have been, when bored, shop. But being in the office so much took up a lot of time so it was no big deal. We are just trying to form new habits. I have read 3 or 4 books in the last week. And I have a ton more of them stacked up to read!

Have to have the music or podcast or audiobook going when I walk so I would consider the beats essential too
