I am sorry for your traumatic year, Matt. It feels like some years are like that, mine was 2009 and I never want another year like that again. Hang in there the best you can and take care of yourself!

G'morning all!

Jen, I'm jealous of your workout room. Smart for not moving the bigger equipment by yourself, we don't need injuries by moving heavy equipments. Can't wait to see the final room when everything is in. Can I move in with you? I'll even pay a gym membership!

I had a glorious weekend and did everything on our to do list. The garage is looking better and better by the day. Some neighbors stopped by curious about what we were doing; everything was on the ground and it looked like we were moving out. Once they realized our plans they chuckled and wished us good luck saying they'll check in with us by the end of the day, to make sure we haven't killed each other. We didn't and 2/3 of the garage is clean and organized; DH was in a cooperative mood.

Our dinner at the new restaurant in town was OK but not worth the hype, in my opinion. We had bruschetta as appetizer, I had risotto at tartufo (truffle risotto) and DH had a Tuscan lamb dish. The food was good but let's say if I have Italian guests in town I wouldn't take them there. The chef is "creative" and mixes too many things of his own ideas into the dishes that it makes it no longer Italian.

Highlight of the weekend was FaceTiming both kids at the same time, seeing them on screen side by side and scheduling our summer vacation. DS surprised us all by not being difficult about dates or location. He said all is good and he is flexible with his summer plans. Dare I hope he is growing up?

QOTD: I haven't done any of those games. I think I'm the only person in US who hasn't played those games.

My meals yesterday :

  • Coffee & barebells bar
  • Mex Cauliflower rice & chicken strips
  • TJ mini cone icecream (the coffee ones are really yummy)
  • Ham & cheese
  • E: Rest day but lots of garage cleaning

Happy Monday!

My pet peeve, Chefs who "play" with the food too much and it no longer resembles what they sold me on when reading the menu!
