I'm not saying this will be you, but we had no kitchen for NINE months. At the time the kids were 7 & 11. Our game room had become our temp kitchen with a fridge and a microwave. We also used our outside grill for cooking.

hi all -yesterday was rough back to back meetings. i was very tired by 4pm. DH went out and bought bbq pork which i had for dinner with green beans i had made earlier it was yumm. one serving left. i did weigh this morning, and I'm not upset. I AM still up the 5 pounds from Sept last year but despite having some yummy food and alchohol the scale is where it was before this last trip.

we had an emergency last night which led to stress right before bed. we had an out of the blue heavy rain and the french drains got leaves in them so we had water intrusion into the garage and under the floor in living room. it was a bit squishy when we walked on it last night in places. we put the dehumidifier on before bed and I can't hear it this morning. I'm hoping we can either just pull it up and let it dry out then relay the floors. waiting for verdict. I will cry if 1/2 the living room NEW flooring has to be replaced.

QOTD: as a child, gullible. sisters would talk me into believing random things. my mom told me once this boy at church swallowed a watermelon seed, it grew in his stomach and that is why his appendix has to be removed. sisters convinced me search lights in the sky were UFO's.

food today:

coffee, water, coffee

egg protein powder pancakes

l: leftover bbq and green beans

d: turkey sloppy joe

s: unknown

Mornin' All!

well my mother broke her femur last night - and the hospital sent her home (???). My sister spent the night with her, and I'm going over there this morning to relieve her. She's supposed to call an orthopedic surgeon today. I don't know what's going to happen. If they do surgery, I'm sure they'll keep her in the hospital for a couple of days (at least I hope so!), if not, we'll have to tag team - for I don't know how long. We'll probably have to find home health for times neither of us can be there. I'm so annoyed at my sister, too, for making this big move to Nevada at the end of May. I have no idea why they can't wait for a couple of years - my mother is 87, she's not going to be with us forever. This whole idea (i.e., moving to Nevada right now) is just idiotic. I'm also going to start looking for an assisted living placement for Mom. I have a feeling this is going to be the way it is right now, and if we keep her in independent living, I'm going to be afraid to ever leave town again. Luckily, my mom is OK with that idea. She and I discussed it a few days ago, and she said she'd been thinking about it, too. I just hope we can find a vacancy in a nice place.

QOTD: I have conversations with myself a lot! I did more so when I was working, but I still do - esp when faced with a difficult situation.

B: Probably Ratio high protein yogurt. Coffee with half & half

MS: protein shake and some Wheat Thins (I'll be at my mother's)

L: cottage cheese with cranberry/cherry compote

AS: ??

D: we're supposed to go to a banquet tonight, but I don't know if that'll happen or not. And if we're there, I don't know what's on the menu...

ex: I should probably do a youtube video this morning before I head over to Mom's..

have a great day, everyone!

EDITED to add that I"m so preoccupied now that i got the wrong QOTD! Skeptical. Very skeptical.

I hope your mom is doing ok today and that it won't require surgery. That's scary for someone of that age.

Good morning ~ I haven't tried any off equipment strength training, maybe Ill give that a shot. I always rehearse conversations in my head to make sure I work out any tone/attitude - much like writing the scathing unedited email you clean up before sending.

Today is a routine day, lots of little things and training this afternoon. It's been so hot the past couple of days and my office is stuffy so I have 2 fans going. If I laid my head down, I swear I'd fall asleep within 10 seconds.

QOTD - I grew up so gullible! I'd like to think I grew out of it, but probably not. Like Kelly -when it comes to business, I'm pretty savvy.

B- coffee, egg bites

l- salad w/chicken

d-chicken asada taco salad

s- celery w/ranch

Have a great day!
