What's on your half-way through (Wednesday) menu?

I love t-rex small arms memes and this one is appropriate since I'm working towards getting back to unsupported handstands and a single traditional pull up.

I am glad it's Wednesday and the weekend is just over the horizon! I only have 6 one on ones and a meeting today so it's a good day at work and then I can watch moon knight tonight, after doing my rowing and PT.

QOTD - what is a funny/weird/interesting comment that someone has made to you recently? A colleague told me recently that "my neck is too skinny" (in the context of asking if I was sick) which was just random...I mean who noticed someone else's neck size?

menu today is a bit up in the air-ish, I have not really planned.

Coffee plus half and half X2

PB English muffin

Greek yogurt

I think I'll have falafel for dinner

built bar

Have a wonderful Wednesday all.

Good morning ~ I'm loving the t-rex memes, cute! I saw on IFIT that they are going with an online trophy case and moving away from physical magnets, hum... not the same, not even close. I'll send you magnets, Jen!

Yesterday was eventful and busy, today looks to be mellow. Lots of research and reading to do. This kind of day goes by slow! I will break it up with a walk and an errand today.

QOTD - A co-worker told me she doesn't put sugar or artificial sweetener in her coffee -as if she were a saint, yet she uses the sweetened coffee creamers. Not sure she understands....

Accountability - impulsive break room cookie - a big chocolate chip bad boy.

B-coffee, egg bites

l- salad w/chicken and tomato

d- stuffed peppers

s-celery and ranch

Have a fabulous day!

That's funny! I used to love those flavored coffee creamers and they are so so sweet

I did send a note to iFit that I only do the challenges for the magnets so I'm less likely to do the challenges now which will reduce their "interactions" which I am Sure is a key metric. Hopefully that will help.

Sorry for the breakroom Incident. I am lucky everyone is cheap and selfish, so no one brings stuff in unless it is leftovers, so I won't eat someone else's leftovers.

I just passed up pumpkin white chocolate bars in the breakroom - it's a daily crap shoot. I try to avoid all together, but it's the only place to wash my dishes.

G'morning all!

LOL! Jen, when DD still lived at home she and DH would do improvised skits both being T-Rex. They had me always in stitches. I miss having DD home.

Y'all....Walmart!!! I always had this idea, from pics I had seen, that Walmart is a lower level Target. This one that I went to was a super center Walmart...very clean and HUGE!!! You could see and feel my excitement even behind the mask. In the dietary nutrition aisle I started up a convo with a lady who was leaning towards Slimfast keto. I pointed that Premier protein has higher protein and shared with her a lot of recipes in which you can use PP. She looked me up and down and said:

-are you a rep for PP?

-Nope!

-Cause the way you talk about them you could be.

-Nope, just really like them and use them a lot.

Then in the men's department I loudly gasped when I put my hand in the pocket of the jeans I was planning to get. They are so deep. No wonder guys carry everything in their pockets and we have to have a purse. The guy who was checking the chinos looked at me (after my gasp) and took a step away, I'm sure he thought I'm cookoo! Anyway, I am very satisfied with my expedition and bought few items that I hadn't been able to find in my regular grocery store or target.

QOTD: in addition to the funny comment above about being a rep for PP, a while ago I was asked in a parking lot if I was a car salesperson. Again, because they asked me about my car and I gave them the info very enthusiastically. Funny thing is, I hate selling, I can never be a sales person.

My meals yesterday (stomach is still not doing good, no idea why so sensitive all of a sudden):

  • Coffee
  • Chicken soup
  • Fage yogurt and jello
  • More soup
  • E: nothing

Happy hump day!

I remember reading an article once a few years back about a Walmart that was trying to attract higher-income consumers. They put in hardwood-like floors, a sushi bar, added wine to their inventory, had the employees dress in khakis and polo shirts instead of those smocks, piped in classical music - can't remember what else. I don't remember what the result was, but I found this kind of funny.

I would go to this one if it were any closer, won't need wood floor or sushi bar. But it's in the middle of nowhere, there is nothing else but this Walmart. In my neck of the woods that space is filled with Home Depot, Safeway (our grocery store chain) and target, while there it was ALL Walmart; no other stores nearby. I understand Walmart's message is that it tends to all your needs, but it looked lonely sitting there huge and alone, with nothing else around it.

When I was a kid, living in a very rural area, every town wanted a Walmart. Back in the 80s, they were good jobs, good quality products and towns competed for them. i think that changed after Sam Walton died. It was a very interesting case study in the book by Simon Sinek, I think it was Start with Why, that said the issue was that so much of Walmarts culture of being a low cost but engaged community member was tied up in Sam as a leader that when he passed away, they didn't have anything but low cost to focus on and it's been bad for them.
