Good morning! Wednesday. The days are ticking down quickly now. Everyone is sort of in festive mode around me, so that is really awesome. (Either they are truly happy for me, or they are happy for themselves that I am getting out of here!). House windows are being cleaned today. That's going to be amazing. Cannot wait to see how nice that looks. Other than that and work, I've got nothing on the agenda. I do have the dogs at work today so neurotic brown dog doesn't try to take a bit out of the window cleaner. He's pretty good away from home, but at home, you are in his territory and you better have one of his humans say it's ok. I'm glad he is really well trained and I can control him with a word or two.

QoTD: I am with Christina. I tell people this. Have you ever seen a Robin Williams out take where he riffs from one thing to another in rapid fire. Sometimes no connection to the next topic, just go, go, go? That's what it's like inside my brain all the time. Hard to harness that into training mode.

Menu:

B: HB egg, cottage cheese

L: salami, asiago and a few parm whisps

D: chicken alfredo. I might try the toasted egg white wrap thing, rolled up and cut into strips before toasting them in a warm pan as a base. I have one wrap left. Real pasta for the hubs.

S:? TBD

Peace Everybody!

The "new" boss is making me work on Friday. He's also my son in law. LOL. So I told him I will be here, but to expect very little work out of me. If he doesn't like it he can fire me. . I have a whole email thing I want to send out Friday morning letting my customers know. I've worked with lots of them for 20+ years. So it's going to be an emotional day. But I hope to send out a nice email and introduce the new lead on their teams to help with the transition.

the feeling of walking out of work for the last time and knowing you're never coming back is so bizarre! It took me awhile to feel like I wasn't just on vacation. Anyway, congrats on your retirement!!

I will try to get a few decent photos! We took your advice and doubled up on snacks -- but we couldn't push back the taco truck. They were already trying to get us to push back to 7:30! I said no, please start as close to 7 as you can. My money is on they start at 7:30. LOL.

Happy Hump Day,

That meme is a riot. People are so dumb, not sure how you teach a cat self defense? LOL. The Humane society decided that the cat we thought about adopting was feral and not adoptable, so they are releasing him to his old neighborhood. They said that most cats start out nervous then settle down after they have been there awhile, but this cat remained difficult. We will bow to their wisdom on this matter, especially since we do have dogs that the cat would have to acclimatize to.

Yesterday was a beautiful day so instead of doing my inside workout of HIIT and Yoga I went to a local hiking area and walked for an hour, about 3 miles. Today I will definitely do my HIIT and yoga just to keep things interesting since tomorrow is another walk day since DD has her western horse riding lesson I have to take her to.

We finally got word back on the truck (the one my FIL gave to DD then broke down on the way home). The engine needs to be replaced/rebuilt, which will cost about $5k. So much for a "free" vehicle! Anyway DD really wants the truck, states that this would be her college vehicle also (we bought DS a new Hyundai Accent recently). she is not interested in a new vehicle like my sons, she likes older vehicles with character. So we will spend the money to rebuild the engine and carburetor. Hopefully there will be no other problems (its a 1989 Ford F150). The mechanic says it is otherwise sound...

QOTD: That is a hard question. I don't feel like I am a great teacher but have precepted many nurses over the years. Not sure I am particularly knowledgeable in any areas that I would want to teach.

B: triple zero greek yogurt with collagen, cold brew with half n half, caramel drizzle

L: Lettuce, grilled chicken, carrots, tomatoes, bell pepper, ff french dressing

S: Core Power protein

D: Andoulle chicken sausage with red beans n rice

S: 100 cal bag popcorn, 2 squares sf chocolate

E: 30 min yoga, 30 min HIIT

Hope the truck works out! I have heard that used car prices have sky rocketed so maybe the 5k will still be a bargain

That is what we were thinking because the used car prices are crazy. the other option is to by a budget friendly new car like my son's but DD is not interested in that. DH said that the rebuilt engine will have a 7 year 100K mile warranty so that is good news.
