thought of you this weekend when I was in Wheaton (my cousin lives there and I was staying with her). We went to the Moveable Feast & Company for lunch on Saturday. Wow - one of the best places we've been to in Wheaton. Way better than Cooper's Corner (where of course we had to go on Friday night - my cousin LOVES that place. It's not that it's bad, but...it's just kinda *OK*. Moveable Feast was really good, though - or at least what we had was!!!)

Hey y'all, late post for me!

QOTD - Nope. I did however see the slap heard around the world. I will say this. Jada has acknowledged suffering from alopecia since about 2018. Alopecia and hair loss can be devastating to a woman. She shaved her head to take control of the situation. Chris Rock has literally made a movie about Black women's hair, and how they empower themselves with their hairstyles, etc., so to make a joke about her hair or lack of it is sort of punching down. Will Smith is probably sick as hell of being a meme and a punchline but he made a bad choice at the absolute wrong time. I'm just saying there are a lot of wrongs here and the whole world got to see it.

Breakfast - fasting so hot black coffee, water

Lunch - chickpea salad, red grapes, and some crackers

Dinner - spaghetti with impossible meat and sauce, salad and cheese bread for kids

Have a great day y'all!

Christina

Let it begin with me.

Good Morning Monday!

QJB-it is good to see you back! I hope your sinus infection gets better fast (you also Melody and everyone else suffering).

I had a very nice weekend. Saturday I went to the paint event with my friend. It was fun and there were only 4 people at the event (usually 30+) so it was pretty low key. I wasn't able to fini**** in the allotted time so they gave me paint to fini**** at home (which I did-see attached picture). I was pretty happy on how it turned out. Later my kids had their band performance, they sounded awesome! Then out to dinner with the family. In the evening DD and I went out to the raised planter to do some preparation for pea planting. Our raspberry and blackberry bushes were trying to take over the whole planter, so we cut back those and weeded the planter, added new compost. It was funny, I told my DD that we wouldn't plant potatoes this year because we had a poor crop last year. She must have found 20 potatoes I missed pulling last season. LOL. Sunday was skiing, the snow was awesome and fast in the morning, by 1 pm it was a little melty since it was 57 degrees. I was actually warm for once while wearing ski pants, winter ski coat, sweatshirt, long-sleeve undershirt, gloves, helmet whereas DD was down to ski pants and a sweatshirt. There were snow boarders without shirt on at all. That was probably the last ski trip for DD and I. DS and DH may go up on the 31st, but DD and I will be on our spring break trip. After skiing, DD and I finished our pea and lettuce planting, trimming our grape plants, pruning back the overgrowing strawberries, picked up the yard (a winters worth of dog poo!). It was nice to be outside in the warm weather and being productive.

QOTD: I don'****ch any of the award shows. I feel like actors get plenty of awards through fan adulation, incomes, and other perks of the trade. Not interested.

I love your painting. The blue is perfect with the sunflowers. You have a lot of talent.
