I was happy at 500 per day for at least 6 months, My thought is that they will not take advantage of that once in a lifetime appetite loss and will never reach their goal weight, Bu****ching.

I'm thinking that as well - but, we'll see. I'm glad my clinic wasn't doing that, though (although this seems to be a new thing - like within the last couple of years). I'd hate to be a guinea pig for that. If I was having surgery now, I'd rather wait to see if it actually WORKS. I'd be really ticked off if it kept me from getting to my goal.

Good morning! My pedi got cancelled this morning, so all I have left on my agenda is a work luncheon to facilitate part of the transition to our new team (and away from me!). We are expecting rain this afternoon, so it's going to be nice to be home. I have to cook up a big bone in prime rib today. Literally to make room in the freezer for this weekend's shenanigans. Roger and I will eat on that all week, I think.

QoTD: I watched every minute. My girlfriend came over and we had apps and a glass of wine. She had seen most of the nominated movies. I had seen 3. But it was great fun talking over the details and tidbits we had heard and talking about the fashion (?). Personally, I was horribly disappointed in Will Smith and feel like he denigrated the Williams family by resorting to violence. While I didn't find Chris Rock funny last night, he did what he was hired to do. Stand up comedy. Since Will Smith has a background in stand up, I am positive he's taken pot shots at people. I actually hated he won the award at the end of the night. Zero respect for putting hands on another person except to protect yourself. I will probably put him on my no watch list. But then I've been boycotting people by not spending it on those that I don't respect since I started earning it. Apparently was into cancel culture before it had a name. I'm a trend setter. But Beyoncé -- that was something else. Took me like two minutes to realize that the color everyone was wearing was the color of tennis balls. Ha!

Menu

B: left over swedish meatballs and cottage cheese

L: lunch out, but it's at a Mediterranean place, so there are good options

D: prime rib, a little baked potato and a little roasted butternut squash.

Peace Everybody!

I saw that as some kind of low-class ignorance that belonged in a barroom brawl, not the Oscars.

G'morning all!

QJB- good to have you back. Sorry it took a sinus infection and you being sick at home. I also hope you guys can find a new superintendent so the workload gets lighter.

We had a good weekend, after I got over my soul crushing disappointment of Italy not qualifying for the World Cup soccer. We lost to Macedonia, MACEDONIA!!!! We should have walked in there and crushed them but we were too ****y for our own good. Yesterday DH and I , maybe more DH than I, volunteered for an organization that gets the vets into the ocean and surfs with them. These are vets who lack limbs. I was at the desk, on the beach, checking them in and pairing them with surfers. Watching these people my troubles and woes looked so stupid and trivial. So it was a good lesson in staying humble and not getting too bent out of shape for little things.

QOTD: YES!!! I was worried we might get home late from the beach vet thing so I taped it. We were kinda behind because I wanted to watch the red carpet and analyze every dress. Zendaya wins that category for me. Some other ladies must have not consulted me because their outfits were just awful! I have seen Coda and it deserved the Oscars it got. I wish this morning the attention was more on Coda than what Will Smith did or his blubbering gibberish speech after receiving a standing ovation. Something has gone completely wrong with people and their sense of decency.

My meals yesterday:

  • Coffee & barebells bar
  • Open burrito, only the innards
  • Epic chicken
  • Cheese, cheese, cheese (I wasn't in the mood to cook and I wanted to watch the Oscars so I made a charcuterie with all the cheese at home)
  • E: Rest day

Happy start of the week, y'all!

Mornin' All!

I was planning to go to water aerobics this morning but got up too late. My weekend in Chicago screwed up my sleeping pattern, so it'll probably take a couple of days to get back to it. I took a fecal sample over to the vet's around 9:00 from our out-of-the-box pooper since the animal behaviorist suggested the vet do a more comprehensive fecal panel this time because she thinks the behavior we've been seeing is more indicative of a medical problem than a behavioral problem. Hopefully so since those things are usually easier to resolve (unless it's some really awful medical problem, of course...). So...we'll see. Other than that, I haven't done much this morning other than get caught up on the news and social media. I have a Zoom meeting this afternoon from 1-3. And I need to get some exercise. So, that's my day!

QOTD: I rarely watch the Oscars and didn't at all last night. I just checked the winners ...and the fashions...afterward.

B: coffee with half & half, Fit Frappe

MS: this will be late since I haven't had it yet, and it's almost lunch time. Which is fine because that'll mean a later than usual lunch -which means I'm less likely to be hit by a late afternoon snack attack. Anyway, probably Greek yogurt with fruit for my morning snack.

L: cheesecake-flavored yogurt pie

AS: if needed, L&F creme brulee yogurt with a teaspoon of tahini stirred in. And maybe a skinny bagel with light cream cheese

D: probably half a "chik'n" patty on half a skinny bun and some kind of vegetable

have a great day, everyone!

Good morning ~ Nice to see you QJB! Today is super busy calendar day so I'm just squeezing this in between meetings.

QOTD - no, I didn'****ch, but I saw the punch on the news this morning! Yikes. I'm so out of the Oscar movie watching loop these past few years.

Made the air fryer chicken nuggets this weekend. They were okay but would have been better with sharp cheddar and hot sauce added instead of mozzarella. Everything is better with cheddar!

B- coffee, egg bites

l- Asian chicken salad from TJ's

d - omelet and turkey sausage

s- carrots, celery and cucumbers w/tajin, built coconut bite

Have a great day!

Aloha!

Good to see you back QJB!

Somehow, I ended up at a dry hotel. We bought a bottle of wine to drink outside while listening to the music last night but when we looked at our check in sheet realized we have to drink it in our room. We chose the music instead.

It took about 15 hours of travel on Saturday, and being out of practice that was a long day.

Anyways, it?s lovely here?s and I hope everyone is well!
