What's on your photo Friday menu?
My face is starting to fade, but now it feels kind of crunchy and sticky. I think that it is going to start peeling a little. Wonderful.
After 19 years, tomorrow will be our last Spring Break as parents of School children. We started going in 2003 when DD was in kindergarten and haven't missed since. I know that some parents don't hesitate to pull their kids out of school to go on family vacation, but we never did that. So it's been the last week of March, with every other family from the Midwest suburbs crowding into Midway to get a Southwest flight somewhere South or West. Three years we drove though and one year we went East to DC.
We leave for Honolulu tomorrow at about 11:00. Our flight stops over in Phoenix both ways. We originally thought of going to Kaui, but kind of panicked when we looked at the COVID rules (booked in September) so we are staying on the North Shore. Liz sent me some restaurant recommendations, so I will have to check those out. Hopefully, next Friday I will be posting a picture of fresh caught tuna.
DS went skiing and sent us pictures yesterday. I am happy that he was able to go. He doesn't get to do a lot since his school is so hard.
QOTD: Today is mostly gym time (way behind with the short week). Happy Hour tonight, College basketball, packing and the car service comes at 8:00 tomorrow.
Breakfast: omlette
Lunch: Roast beef sandwhich
Dinner: Chicken
Have a great day, all!

I am so jealous of the Hawaii trip. I so wanted to go somewhere warm but our plans fell through for Spring Break. We were one of those parents who would pull their kids out of school but now that the kids are in high school they don't want to be pulled out because if negatively effects their grades.

Good morning Melody and menu folks. Joddie and I finished the 3 day egg fast ( Eggs and cheese) last evening. Weighed in 1.4 lbs lighter this morning. I am down to 209.8 (4.8 lbs to goal) and have lost 12.2 lbs since January 1. I am ecstatic. Consistency has been the key. Has not been easy.

Picture is of the Hometown Hero Banner we purchased for my Dad, will be hung in our Hometown of Rouses Point, Ny. Dad was in Vietnam, was exposed to Agent Orange and was diagnosed with Parkinsons about 4 years ago. We received notice that He and I will be Participating the the Honor Flight Program in June, we will fly on a chartered flight from our local airport to Washington Dc, there are ceremonies on both ends of the flight and we will tour many historic sites in DC. I am honored to be going. Always thank a veteran when you see them!

I see lots you folks doing the egg fast. I couldn't do it since I am not a huge egg fan. Before surgery I would go out to breakfast but order a lunch item or bacon n eggs but not eat the eggs. Scrambled eggs here and there are ok but everyday, every meal? No way. Great job on the weight loss and your consistency.
