What's on your Thursday menu?

Good mornin folks! Let's all send Chrissy(Teenie) good thoughts today and for the medical team for her surgery!

not much planned for the day. We're supposed to get rain but I'll believe that when I see it. I'm hoping to run to the grocery store. I want to make a Mexican casserole that's full of protein and as little carbs as I can muster. I have some cilantro lime riced cauliflower to add to it. I need the beef and some veggies. I am thinking of trying some nopales cactus in it.

QOTD: what do you consider your best quality?

this is hard for me. I don't see much good in myself but I'd choose my kindness. I don't always like people but at the same time I love almost everyone. You have to earn it to be otherwise.

B: JUST egg cup, banana and decaf coffee

L: ???

D: Mexican food casserole

S: avocado cup, cut up fresh squash and a two good yogurt

Mona for your viewing pleasure!

Hey all, just a drive by hello to say I am alive but still about a week or so away from getting back to a normal routine, I would guess.

The local news stations, newspapers. and social media outlets have their hands on the story so now I have all of that to contend with as well.

In food news, I had been avoiding stepping on the scale for awhile but I finally got up the nerve and... holy crapppppp. I am back on the wagon... hard. I've been excellent for 3 days and I don't think I am going to lose my motivation any time soon. That number scared the pants off of me.

QOTD: My ability to make everyone feel emotionally safe and comfortable in any situation.

B: eggs

L: Greek yogurt

S: salted almonds

D: deli turkey & Swiss cheese roll up

Miss you guys.

Happy St Paddy's Day everyone! Hope you have something green to wear and enjoy a little Flogging Molly or other Irish musical delights today.

QOTD - Resilience and optimism, I think, and they go hand in hand. They help me personally but also I think it's why I'm the one people call when the need a pep talk, a shoulder, a laugh or a kick in the pants.

It's snowing and we have some interesting stories of St. Patrick's Day snowstorms; this is not expected to be like the one that dropped 10 feet and shut down the city for days a few years ago -- just 4-9 inches (it looks likes 3 so far); I can hear the ice hitting the window behind me though so will bundle up when I go shovel this morning. Snow shoveling will be my only exercise today -- between pilates on Tuesday (oh my abs) and PT yesterday (oh my arm and shoulders) it will be enough. Good news on the shoulder front, it feels like the rehab part is done so now onto the strengthening -- handstand and pull up will be mine before I turn 50 in 210 days!

Accountability - yesterday I just had 2 cheese sticks and a cup of popcorn for lunch/dinner and then before bed I had half a sea salt and toffee cookie. (Bakery cookies which is why it was a half, I could just eat a half of a chips ahoy or normal sized cookie)

Menu today:

coffee plus half and half X 3

last piece of Irish soda bread pb toast

4 oz burger with slice cheese and pickle

blackberries

protein hot chocolate

other half of the cookie

Have a fantastic day everyone
