Hello Menu Friends,

Not much to report on today. I did call on the cat we rescued for an update. It is still under vets care (leg fracture from being hit by a car), still being monitored for blood in the urine, but continues to eat and eliminate well. I will call again this afternoon since the vet is due to see him again. We are having a family debate on a name for the cat. It is a ginger tabby cat. So far my favorite is Cheddar. My DH jokes saying we should name him Guy (said Gi) Buttersnaps- this is a reference to the show Psych in which the main character calls his side-kick different made up names when he introduces him to new people. Any suggestions on good cat names for a ginger?

QOTD: I would say I lie to myself with 'things will get better" but don't make any changes in which the situation would get better.

LOVE ginger kitties! My friend had a ginger named Queso, I always thought that was so cute. My ginger is named Gus, but we call him Bubba or Bubs.

I had a ginger once - I think he was my favorite cat of all time (and I've had a lot of cats!). I thought he looked sort of Scottish with that orange (i.e, ginger) fur, so I named him Ian.

funny story - we also had an all-white cat at the same time named Holly. I named both, but once I asked DH what he would have named them if it wasn't for me. He said Sandy and Whitey. I said "wow - so original ! Naming them after their colors". "No", he said, "after Sandy Koufax and Whitey Ford" (he's a big baseball geek). I about died laughing - I NEVER would have guessed he meant baseball players!

Hi Gang, Just checking in to say I am alive, super stressed out and barely eating (yay?). A really big and awful thing happened at work and it's an HR nightmare, to say the least... I am hoping to be back next week but frankly I don't think it's likely that I will start the thread for another week ... Right now, every awake second I have is consumed by this, unfortunately :(

Miss you all!
