Good morning! Back in the office today. Looks like it's going to quite the day. Game face on and I am ready for it. Slept well in my own bed so that was great and will help me power through today.
My main food plan this week is too step away from the carbs. Way too many this weekend and I don't want to go there. And wine. Too much wine this weekend. Today looks like a good day for me to try to take control and re-center myself. (I just did a nice deep belly breath in like I'm saying a mantra or something. LOL)
QoTD. Just finished Stephen King's The Outsider and then I blew through the Language of Flowers. Heart breaking and gorgeous at the same time. It is not a feel good book, but it is very worth the time to read it if you are looking for fiction.
Menu today is:
B: 1/2 cottage cheese and 3 ounces chicken breast
L: left over beef stew that I just put out to defrost.
D: depends on how I feel after a hard day's work. I want to make a polenta lasagna recipe I found, but it my be RGF stuffed chicken breast.
Aiming for no snacks today, but I have half a Chomps near me if I get desperate.
Peace Everybody!

Good morning, everybody!
I slept in today, so I'm running late. Tomorrow night we are having a work event in the city. It's at Top Golf. I'm sure it will be fun once I get there, but the whole getting dressed, driving into the city, parking, traffic, I'm just dreading.
There is a certain thing at work that I have been procrastinating for weeks. It will only take 30 minutes to complete, but I just keep putting it off. By far, I have put more effort into avoiding it than it will take to complete it, so today is the day.
DD decided that her boyfriend is going to join us on the cruise this summer, so we are getting him signed up today. She has been working night and day with her CPA busy seasons Marilyn is trying to help her with any administrative things that she needs.
QOTD: The Wild One by Nick Petrie. It's OK, but I'm not raving about it.
Breakfast: Turkey meatballs and cottage cheese
Lunch: Mahi burger with mango salsa
Dinner: chicken
Have a great day, all!

G'morning all!
Did you guys read about this girl who was dismissed by her Dr as being overweight while she had colon cancer? It ****** me off but unfortunately it's very common. During my heavy years I'd skip my yearly checkups because I knew the first thing I'd hear was "you need to lose weight"! I was amongst the lucky ones who didn't have any other health problems.
I meant to share this yesterday but forgot; both ways to and from SD I chose to sit next to an overweight person because I wanted them to feel comfortable. I remember how embarrassed I was and I didn't want them to feel that at least for one flight. On the way down I was in bulk head row where the trays come out of the armrest. When the drinks were served the lady next to me couldn't get her tray to go down so I shared my table with her. On the way back the gentleman next to me had the armrest resting in his side and couldn't put it down. I saw he was uncomfortable so I asked him if he was OK with me pulling up the armrest because it was crowding me. In both cases I tried to do it with non chalant so they didn't feel uncomfortable or singled out. I'd do the same if I see a mom with babies. I try to choose that seat because I hate people who make them feel stressed because their baby cries. Life is too short to be mean to people
QOTD: recently finished "The outsider" by Stephen King. I have also been reading the Dune series since the movie came out. I'm on book 7. Read the original 3 written by Frank Herbert. Then the 3 prequels written by his son. And now I'm in the middle of one that happens 10,000 years before the first book. Fascinating series. Oh, I'm also reading "Severance" by Ling Ma, my daughter gave me that book. So many books so little time.
My meals yesterday:
- Coffee
- Mex cauli rice + eggs (I am sorta panicking because in my last 2-3 trips to TJ I haven't been able to find the cauli rice and my reserve is dwindling down)
- Fage yogurt, hot cocoa, chomp stick
- Prosciutto & spicy Buffalo cheddar cheese
- E: 5 miles jog
Happy Taco Tue.
