Good mornin everyone. Wishing you the best this week JB!

I've got an appointment with the pain specialist at 9...after that we've got to pick up an order at the Ukrainian bakery we donated to at 11. We might go to my aunts house later...we'll see.

I'm exhausted and I think I've got a sinus infection. I had a slightly bloody nose early this morning on both sides and my throat is a little raw from drainage. Going to take a Sudafed and hope that'll kick in the the butt. One of my friends sent me a link to Indian Folk Metal. I didn't think in a million years I'd like it as much as I do! Falling down that rabbit hole later today.

QOTD: nothing as of terribly recent.

B: JUST Egg cup, yogurt and coffee

L: not sure on this one

Good morning ~ I wi**** were Wednesday! I'm up early, but my hip and low back are in such pain. It was like this yesterday but was better as the day went on. When you can't reach to put on a sock easily, the idea of exercising is crazy but probably the very thing I need. I'll do yoga tonight when I'm feeling better and extra stretching.

Today is another day of meetings and training. This is my week, really.

QOTD - I finished Atomic Habits last week - great book and will read again soon. I just started How to Stop Time yesterday. The narrators voices took getting used to but now its getting pretty good.

Accountability - wine

b- coffee, eggwich

l-tuna, light mayo, balsamic vinegar w/tomato and celery sticks

d-pulled pork and cheese

s-slim jim (my guilty pleasure)

Have a great day!

Mornin' All!

I have been waking up lately feeling stressed - not sure what all is going on, but it's probably mostly due to Web site stress. I've had my organization's site on my mind - how I need to get that finished up this week. Two other people on the board want it to look very different than it currently does, but what they want is frankly terrible Web design - so I'm very torn. I worked side-by-side with one of them on Sunday. What we currently have neither one of us is happy with - but on the other hand, we can live with it if need be. It incorporates some of the things they wanted, which to me looks bad - but it doesn't incorporate all - which would look even worse (and some of it is technically impossible to do, on top of that). I really want to give this up. The one I was working with Saturday suggested I give her lessons so she can do it from now on, but she has no technical savvy, and I'm sure she has no idea how much is involved with this. They may need to hire someone to do it if they can't find anyone within the organization who's willing to take it on. Anyway, enough on that. I'll do some cardio video this morning in hopes of working off some of this stress.

I have a combo lunch/movie watching party for one of my film groups this afternoon, because the film we're discussing (on Friday) is only available on Disney Plus, which only a couple of members have. She's making lasagna and I volunteered to bring a dessert. So yesterday I made a limoncello tart on a amaretti cookie crust (sounded pretty Italian-ish, even if it might not actually be Italian!). I made a blackberry/blueberry compote to go with it - and I'll take whipped cream along as well. So this is going to probably be a bad food day. I'll just focus on eating a normal amount and not going overboard.

QOTD: I recently finished two books - Sam Quinones' latest book (this one on the meth and fentanyl crises), and Judy Blume's "Forever" for my children's/young adult book discussion group. Liked them both - but after reading the Blume book, I can say that I'm very glad I'm not a teenager anymore. Sheesh. (I'm glad I read it, though - we're all over 60 and were a little too old when it was published in 1975 to have read it at the time, so we all missed it....but we all knew it was a very popular book and has been a target of censorship attempts many times, so we were curious...).

B: not hungry and I have a challenging food day coming up, so I may just have a protein shake (since I want to exercise this morning). Coffee with half & half

MS: I may have something later so I don't go overboard at the lunch. Maybe Greek yogurt with a teaspoon of tahini mixed in? Or else a tablespoon of peanut butter on 35-calorie bread

L: lasagna, salad, and limoncello tart

AS: I doubt I'll feel like eating after that lunch! I have some sugar free Jello and baby carrots in the fridge just in case, though

D: turkey chili (?)

have a great day, everyone!

I hope the stress gets better for you. I think I remember reading "Forever" but I'm not certain, if it's the one I'm thinking about it was pretty intense for my teenage mind.

Mernin errybody! Happy Taco Tuesday!

QOTD - Listening to "The Body is Not An Apology". It's a hard listen. Lots of self-love, and I will admit about 15 mins in, I was already self-identifying some triggers and had some tears.

Breakfast - fasting so hot black coffee and water

Lunch - Mings, so fried tofu bao, and a salad

Dinner - tacos - Impossible taco "meat", lettuce, tomato, refried beans, corn tortillas. Super jazzed

Have a great day everyone!

Christina
