QOTD - hands down, let teachers wear jeans. Unless they are in a privatized setting where the students are required to wear uniforms, jeans should be allowed. In other news, teachers should also be paid more, have a lower student-to-teacher ratio, and shouldn't be held responsible for teaching to standardized bull**** tests that are biased. I love teachers.
Breakfast - fasting so hot black coffee and water
Snack - papa ranchero taco with queso
Lunch - honey garlic fried tofu, mothers spicy kimchi, white rice, peas
Dinner - no clue. None. something veggie?
I hope you all have a great day!
Christina
Let it begin with me.

Mornin' All!
Late post today because I got up later than usual and then went to a water aerobics class. This was a sub - I don't think water fitness is her "thing", because we mostly did various calisthenics in the pool - things like jumping jacks and running in place. Although that was fine - not particularly fun, but at least I got my hour's worth of cardio in. Now I'm waiting for my Chicago-bound friend to return from Chicago so we can tackle the last of her apt today. I thought yesterday would certainly be the last day, but no. But I can't imagine it's going to take more than a couple of hours to finish everything up today. She owes me one big time - this is tough work. I'm dreading the day DH and I have to move...
QOTD: I guess I feel strongly both ways, as an old boss used to say :-) I think business casual is a safe way to go as offices ditch former dress codes - I think khakis and certain leggings (depending on what you wear with them) can look totally fine in a professional environment. Jeans don't look all that professional to me - but I know a lot of people would prefer to wear them, so you may be fighting a losing battle. I guess as long as they aren't tattered or otherwise look like crap. I personally wouldn't wear them to an office, though - but I'd have no qualms about wearing my leggings.
B: protein muffin, coffee with half & half
MS: iced latte made with Fairlife and SF hazelnut syrup
L: ?? if my friend gets back from Chicago in time, we're going out for lunch. If not, I guess I'll have a piece of lemon/blueberry yogurt pie
AS: will probably skip if I have lunch with my friend. Otherwise, probably 1/2 C protein oatmeal topped with L&F creme brulee yogurt
D: chik'n patty on a slim bun with Greek yogurt and tomato slices (or more likely, HALF of this), cole slaw made with Asian-style dressing
I'm trying to decide it I want to volunteer to be on a patient panel at the OH conference. Has anyone else who's planning to go considered this? If so, I may volunteer to join you. Although it'd be nice to be able to just sit back and enjoy the conference, too...
It's Wednesday!
I had a very relaxing time at the spa last evening. A full-body exfoliation with 1 hour massage. I am always surprised at the tender/tense areas the massuese finds on me. This was a new person and he did thing funny under the arm pit deep tissue "pinch" massage. He definitely found a tense muscle there since it is an area that is neglected during a massage.
QOTD: I like to dress up for work after so many years of wearing scrubs. However, I do like not having a speciifc dress code to adhere to (other than tasteful). I don't like it when I go to education and they ask you to wear dress casual (hello-I want to wear jeans). I will say that I am so much more comfortable in clothes that it doesn't really bother me to wear "work" clothes. When I was obese work clothes were uncomfortable and pinchy in the waist. I say work casual with jeans on Fridays for teachers. I think people should look professional.
DH had an update on DD's 1989 Ford F150. It has been fixed (oil pan replaced) and a tune-up. I guess the total cost was $1100, which is definitely less then the cost of a new vehicle. We will need to travel back to MT to pick it up soon. I also heard from the insurance company about my new car, the repairs have been approved. Now we wait for parts to arrive. When I spoke to the dealer they had no idea how long that would take...Lord only knows with the supply issues we have for everything under the sun.
B: triple zero greek yogurt with collagen, cold brew with half n half, caramel drizzle (I have reduced the size from Venti (Lg) to Grande (M))
L: Spring mix lettuce, 2 oz grilled chicken, 3 baby carrots, 5 cherry tomatos, 1/4 red bell pepper, ff french dressing
S: Chocolate PP
D: 3 oz turkey breast, 1/2 sweet tater with maple syrup
S: 2 squares sf chocolate bar, 100 cal bag popcorn
E: 30 min HIIT, 30 min yoga, +/- resistance bands (depending on HIIT w/o)

Yeah for hump day! Also Ash Wednesday so Mass is on my afternoon schedule of ttd. I love Lent and am looking forward to it this year since last year I was recovering from my RNY surgery. This year I'm using it to (hopefully) cement a couple of new habits that have been more difficult for me. So that would be 45 minutes of exercise 5 days a week and the other thing will be spending 15 minutes with a daily meditations book I got but forgot about (quickly). It seems I so easily forget to do the things I know are helpful for me. It seems others have added commitment type things to their posting which seems like a terrific idea so I'm adding these 2 items to my daily post.
QOTD: In my area, there seem to be bigger issues with our teachers unions, boards, etc., so what they wear is the least of it.
Exercise: 30 minutes TM and about 15 minutes walking the bossy dog this afternoon (or should I say 15 minutes of being walked by the bossy dog?).
Daily Meditation: Done
Breakfast: 1egg + 1 egg white, 1 ounce cheese
Sn: Coffee with milk
Lunch: Fairlife PS, 2 TBL nuts
Sn: Not sure if I will need one so today as lunch was late.
Supper: 3 oz baked cod, 1 oz shrimp, 1/4 cup Caesar salad leftovers.
Happy Hump Day everyone!!

A question about dumping if I could. In the first 4-6 weeks after surgery last year, I had dumping symptoms twice and an episode of something getting stuck once. I was very careful about what and how I ate and the 2 dumping type episodes seem to have set me up to have absolutely no curiosity about whether I can eat sugar (thank God!!).
Hubby is now 4-1/2 weeks post RNY and came home today with definite symptoms of either dumping or late stage dumping. Shaking, nauseous, rapid pulse, even short of breath. He said he ate yogurt for breakfast (Triple Zero Greek) and that he drank a protein shake for lunch. He was out of town this morning and drank the shake coming home.
Anyone have dumping type symptoms without eating sugar? Hub has not been particularly compliant though he has lost weight and continues to. Perhaps had something with sugar? I'm kinda hoping he did so perhaps it will help his compliance. Just wondering about others' experience as he swears he only had the yogurt and protein shake.

I'm no expert but check the sugar alcohols. I know I get RH and those are the systoms. It requires surgar because your body produced to much insulin. Quest bars do it to me.
