Good morning! I couldn't sleep, been up since 3:30am. Lucky me I get to be tested for sleep apnea tonight. I'm kind of looking forward to getting results.

QOTD: I'm totally debating this in my head now. I don't know, I guess dress professional and have casual Fridays. I don't even know what my districts dress code is for teachers, but my sister always dresses professional.

B: cappuccino

S: yogurt

L: protein bar

Snack: cottage cheese

S: turkey burger with Swiss

Snack: string cheese

Omg, it's Wednesday, yay halfway there!

after getting up at 3:30 this morning, you may actually get some sleep at the sleep study!! (that is, if you're going to a lab - I can pretty much count on a sleepless night if I'm having it in a sleep lab! But maybe if I'd been awake since 3:30 the night before, I'd actually get some sleep!)

I thought for sure I'd sleep good, I was at the doctor's for 3hours yesterday. Waking up early has been ongoing and I've tried so many things to try and fall back asleep. Sleeping pills don't even help! I do the sleep study at home and if the results show anything then I go to the clinic located at the hospital.

G'morning all!

Woke up early because it was getting too warm in our bedroom. Had to open up a window to get some breeze in. Yesterday was on the warm side but at night it usually cools down, I guess not last night. Even Luna was restless and kept moving around on our bed to find a cool spot.

QOTD: I have a couple of teacher friends and I always see them in what I call teacher dress code. Nice comfortable slacks, cardigan or blazer and flats. I think jeans are OK as long as they are not ripped; a dark wash and boot cut should work like a regular pair of non jeans pants. Having said all of this, who are we kidding? Do kids nowadays really look at what teachers (or any adult) wear as a role model? So let the teachers be comfortable and wear whatever they want as long as they maintain a certain professionalism just like at any other job.

My meals yesterday:

  • Coffee
  • Grilled cheese sandwich (with cauliflower thins and spicy Buffalo cheddar cheese)
  • Barebells bar, Fage yogurt
  • Innards of 2 street tacos
  • E: 30 minutes cardio + 50 minutes weight training

Happy Hump day.

hi all i made it back from TN about 6PM. was exhausted and I think i had a migraine for the first time in a very long time, lights hurt, neck hurt, head hurt. it finally went away several hours later.

today is jammed packed with calls, my least favorite

yesterday was checkup with NP for the bariatric center. she was still happy with me despite gaining 7 pound since last august. i stopped working out and went on 3 vacations so still needing to get that off.

QOTD: hmmm i just wonder if kids don't see them as an authority figure if they aren't in 'teacher' clothes. But then i think, thats hooey, if they don't respect the teacher that has nothing to do with what they wear. So i think presentable jeans would be ok, no rips or super tight ones.

food today:

i have no idea... I have nothing prepped and busy today.

I'm about eight lbs overweight and sick about it (although evidently not sick enough to do what I need to do to lose it), but my PCP and bariatric surgeon and dietitian are all happy with my weight. It's kind of annoying, in a way. i guess I want one of them to say that "yes, it'd be a good thing if you dropped a few lbs" (is this weird or WHAT???)

yes, i get it. I want to lose 20-25 pounds this year so I can have skin surgery next year hopefully. she said you are doing amazing for going on 7 years out.

my surgeon that did my surgery was like i would like you at 145-150 - your new pouch is the size of my big toe, eat less...

I looked and felt my best at 150, so I'd love to be there again - but this will take work...
