Hospice is such a good thing but it's also needed at the hardest thing about life...so it's just a double edged sword. Sending love to your friend and all of you who care for them!

Mornin' All!
Dentist appt later this morning - and I told my Chicago-bound friend I'd help her finish cleaning her Madison apt today if she wasn't done by the time my appt's over (I was supposed to go over there yesterday afternoon, but she never returned my texts, so I wasn't sure what was up or where she was). Online Mah Jongg at 3:00. And...that's it! I do have to exercise sometime today - I may just do my resistance bands because I'm not in the mood for cardio - or at least not now...although I'm feeling a bit stressed, so maybe I should just bite the bullet and do it..it sometimes helps with that.
QOTD: I can't really think of any remakes I actually liked at the moment - they're usually disappointing. And sometimes VERY disappointing. The Dutch version of the film "The Vanishing" (1988, I think) comes to mind. A very chilling, disturbing film - one of the most disturbing I've seen. Of course Hollywood had to remake it - and they made it into this typical slasher kind of movie. I didn't even see it because I knew it would be absolutely awful. The original had no slasher - you knew what happened without having to see or hear about it...you just knew. Much creepier.
B: plain skyr with cranberry/cherry compote, coffee with half & half
MS: protein shake
L: I'll probably take a protein bar or protein muffin over to my friend's. If I end up not going, then who knows - probably the protein muffin if I'm here
AS: 1/2 C protein oatmeal topped with L&F creme brulee yogurt
D: veggie burger on a slim bun (probably half of this) plus cole slaw made with Asian-style dressing
have a great day, everyone!
Good Morning! Happy new month...already!! Time change happens in just a few weeks.

Good morning ~ Yes QJB - leave that computer at work! I have a desktop at work and a laptop at home. It's hard for me not to check my emails and follow up and things from home. I'm up at the crack-o-dawn this morning and I've worked out already! I have Kelly to thank for that. In the self help arena, I've started a couple of books in the last few days - What happened to You (as opposed to what is wrong with you- about childhood trauma), by Oprah and Dr Perry - great book. The other, Atomic Habits. Very interesting and what I need right now to get myself back on track - and STAY ON TRACK. Eating healthy and working out one day or even a whole week will not make me a healthy person or an athlete.
QOTD - I love a good modern re make done well but I can't even bring myself to watch the new West Side Story. Pride and Prejudice comes to mind - while I love all the versions, the most recent one with Keira Knightly is my favorite - it was incredibly beautiful.
Accountability - I had a protein bar instead of yogurt for snack
b-coffee, eggwich
c-just chicken, salad mix, chipotle aioli, pickles
d- gyro meat, lettuce, tom, cucumber, onion, greek yogurt w/lime juice and cumin
s- fro yo - L&F
E - Scottish Highlands hike, part 4
Have a great day, ya'll
