What's on your (PHOTO) Friday Menu?

I went to the doctor one morning with pain in my back, abdomen, and side and he gave me some medicine for irritable bowel symptom. By evening, I was running a fever, weak, and in so much pain that I called an ambulance and went to the hospital. It was kidney stones. The doctor said he was surprised when he saw the report the next morning. I agree that they use those diagnosis when they don't know.

Shhhh, I don't tell the locals how I feel about TB12. Grim is the only one local who I trust with this information--even my mom thinks I'm a monster!

Hope that arms feels better and happy bday to DH :)

Good morning! Looks like another busy day at my desk. I've already announced out loud this morning that this is the last Friday in a February I will ever have to work. Time is racing by. I need to clean out another desk drawer today and then I have a super fun evening at my bestie's house. There will be wine.

I was exhausted yesterday but managed to rally and cook the dinner I had in the fridge, rather than succumb to my husband's offer of trying out the new fried chicken place in the village. But that's probably going to happen this weekend. I love fried chicken and one of their tenders is a meal or two for me. (they had a branch near my office, but closed it to open in my little village and I am thrilled!)

Other than that, this weekend is just about continuing to get the party room and yards in shape and resting my brain. I've finally finished The Orchardist (loved the beginning but the second half was a slog. Clearly I am not on the same page as Oprah and don't have a deep and abiding love for prose and wordsmithing). But I've got a Stephen King novel to start and I have Cloud Cuckoo Land to read. So hoping to do a deep dive into them.

QoTD: Honestly, just about every time my problem employee pokes her head in my office and says "Lisa, can you help me with this, I think we have a problem". It's all I can do to not roll my eyes. Because honestly, 97% of the time, there is no problem and she's created one in her head and I have to stop and straighten it out. But that's Tyler's problem in 33 days.

Menu

B: the last of the grilled chicken breast and cottage cheese

L: leftover Shepard's pie. Meal three of this and I'm still looking forward to it

D: at my friends so food will be hit or miss, she always tries to have great choices for me. And probably copious amounts of wine.

S: ?? yesterday I needed only one, and it was half a Chompies. So maybe the other half today.

pics are Black dog being where he is not supposed to be, and my grand-dog Bella helping me make sure the cottage cheese container was really clean to go into the recycle bin. Look at that nose!

Peace Everybody!

I have Cloud Cuckoo on my list. Which King book are you planning to read?

The Outsider. I finished Billy Summers a late last year. I really liked the book, but hated the wrap up at the end.

Ooh, sounds interesting.
If you haven't read it yet, add The institute by King to your list.

Adding it! Rog thinks I am turning the house into a library I have so many books to read. One can NEVER have too many books, silly boy.

I keep looking on Pinterest at rooms that are libraries, the way people change a room into a library is beautiful.

The Institute is the most thought-provoking book I have ever read. Right up there with the Handmaid's Tale.

Almost disturbing...right? Because it can happen.
