Good morning! We are chilly and expecting rain today. Nothing going on other than my normal work. I'm told it was dead yesterday, so today might explode on me.

We had a wonderful dinner celebrating the grand kid last night and I have 4 more complete meals left over from it. I'm not gonna lie, they use a ton of garlic butter -- but I'm saying that the rest of it is veggies and shrimp, it all balances out. Mmmmmm butter.

QoTD: Variety please.

Menu:

B: grilled chicken and cottage cheese

L: hibachi chicken, mushrooms, onions, zucchini, garlic butter

D: shepard's pie. Easy on the mashed potatoes for me!

Peace Everybody!

Being able to eat anything I want is better to me than a million dollars. I was in the bakery department yesterday and looking at all the cakes, pies, and cookies. I thought that thanks to WW I could have any of them and I did not want any of them. If I was not allowed to have them, I would crave them so much and feel so deprived. I attend virtual meetings, sometimes 4 a week and sometimes I skip them for a week. The women are inspirational and of course the very few men are too. It is expensive but I decided that for me, it is worth it.

Yesssss the fancy cakes at Jonquil's are amazing! I split a fancy apple caramel cake that looked like an apple with my mom once when they first opened. So cool :)

Mornin' All!

we're getting rain all day today too, up here in southern Wisconsin; however, it's evidently a little colder here than it is in Chicagoland, because ours is freezing rain. Which means icy roads. And the temp will be down below 15 F overnight, so this means it could be an even bigger mess tomorrow, since road salt doesn't work once you get below 15 F. I guess it could be better by 8:30 am when I had a vet appt scheduled, but I decided to reschedule just in case. If the roads ARE icy then, I don't want to risk my life - or my cat's - when all it is is his annual exam. I have a massage appt at 3:45 tomorrow, but we may be out of the woods by then. If not, I'll reschedule that as well - but I'll wait to see what things look like by late morning tomorrow.

so anyway, today I will be staying in, probably reading, watching movies, or baking something. Plus the Mah Jongg gang has our usual online game from 1:30-3:00.

QOTD: the million dollars cash makes more sense financially (thanks, Jim), but I'll take the groceries. We're not in financial dire straits or anything, and I don't think I could deal with eating the same thing all the time. I guess I'd just have to throw a lot of big dinner parties. It'd actually be great not to have to pay for groceries anymore!!

B: lemon/blueberry yogurt pie, coffee with half & half

MS: iced latte made with Fairlife milk and SF syrup

L: 1/2 C protein oatmeal topped with a thing of L&F creme brulee yogurt

AS: protein muffin

D: turkey chili

ex: I'd better do something since I slacked off yesterday. I guess some youtube video. I'm also overdue for resistance training - so I'll pull out the resistance bands sometime today, too.

late post for me.

QOTD: good one, I would ask if i could choose what meal it was for the rest of my life? if i could eat peanut butter and bread forever i would choose the money. if it was salad with meats on it only, maybe not since salads can cause issues for me.

if it was something less than idea i would choose the groceries. plus i could coupon and make money selling those items on the side... lol

last nights accountability was not good, i was stressed which means a handful of pretzel peanut butter things and strawberries and a low carb ice cream bar.

today is:

b: coffee, water, low carb tortilla with cheese

l: leftover chicken cauli fried rice

d: ???

Good Morning

Some of my weekend plans didn't work out so well. Sunday we went to go skiing but there was no parking available so we had to turn around a drive the 1.5 hours home. DD and I did go on a nice walk when we got home since it was in the 50's. Yesterday my DD had a chiropracter appt, then we planned on going antique/junk shopping. It had snowed the night before and in the morning with temps in the 20s. Coming around a turn in the road I lost traction and ended up slamming my new car into the curb. Unfortunately, it pushed the front wheel into the wheelwell. We sat in the care several hours waiting for a tow truck to arrive. Never did get to go junking. Major bummed that my brand new car is in the shop waitin to be fixed.

On the positive side, my weight did go down on Saturday after 3 weeks of no change. As a NWV, I also was able to fit into a size 6 pants. Don't think that has ever happened in my adult life!

QOTD: I would like to take the $1M but I think that if I was required to eat the same thing everyday I would go crazy. However, if I have a choice I could choose to have the same thing everyday. There is a difference, just like when foods are off limits becasue of a diet then you have to have them. So I would take the groceries and have the variety.

B: triple zero greek yogurt with collagen, cold brew with half n half, caramel drizzle

L: chicken skewer, lettuce, 5 cherry tomato, 3 baby carrots, french ff dressing

S: Chocolate PP

D: 4 oz chicken, roasted veggies

S: 100 cal bag popcorn, 2 squares sf chocolate bar

E: 30 min treadmill, 30 min yoga, resistance bands

I'm so sorry to hear about your car. That'd be upsetting even with an old car, let alone a brand new one!
