QOTD- Sunsets, although having to work early mornings I sometimes see the sunrise.

I got my drapery tie backs mounted this weekend. I love the corded drill it takes so much less effort to drill through the metal studs.

Saturday I did some sewing and mending so I was happy with that. I did go and watch the whales yesterday one was doing a ton of tale slaps it was amazing. I wish there had been more activity, there were so many people at the park and it was really noisy so I was ready to take off.

Back to work today, I have a ton of stuff to do. So I'd better get to it.

Have a great day everyone!

Sending you hugs Mel

I'm like you and your Aunt, Melody. I need to be alone to cry out my grief. Grief is a separate entity, I believe. It has real substance and presence and it must be satisfied before it finally leaves. That's my experience, anyway. So sorry for your aunt, you and your families in your loss.

Today has been an odd day for me. Had my one year checkup (delayed by 2 weeks) today. Everything was good, all vitamin levels, etc. We've agreed to have me lose down to 130 and see how I feel. My goal was 125 since I'm 5'2" but am 67 so 125 may be unrealistic. I feel good at this point and love my comparative ease of movement and stamina. After hitting that goal, they will then refer me for skin surgery so hoping by summer to get that done. I get rashes but am also thinking if they can give me some boobs back at the same time, I'll do that too, lol. I don't get full blown rashes underneath, but I do get irritation if I am not careful. I'll try posting a b4 and after pic tomorrow. We're getting an ice storm so nothing else to do!!

My meal plan today:

B:

1/3 Perkins omelet w fruit (3 pineapple bites and 2 grapes -- I already ate my breakfast)

L:

Tuna pack w 2 TBL cream of chicken soup

2 Baby dill pickles

S:

4 oz almond parmesan chicken tender (trying new recipe)

1/4 cp salad greens

2 tsp WaldenFarms zero cal honey mustard dressing

3 cutie (fresh mandarin orange) segments

Sn:

6 oz milk with s.f. chocolate syrup

Thank you so much!

grief is so different for everyone. No two people do it the same. I think her kids kind of want to ease it for her but that's really not possible. She just needs to work through it at her own pace.

Hugs and prayers.

Losing a close family member, or a good friend is tough. I hope you do things for you to help you deal with that.
Congratulations on getting another dog. I have not seen a picture of her, i hope she s going to be a good addition to your family. Considering everything - looks like you guys are going to keep her ? Problem with trying to find a home for a furry friend is by the time you take care of them, bring her/him back to a normal state, you may realize that you cant part with her/him.

When I got a divorce, my ex took all his animals with him when he moved out. I didn't plan to stay in the house we had, but... not only the house market crashed in 2006, but a cat, Emma - moved in with me, and that was it. She was outdoor/indoor and I just could justify moving us somewhere where she would possibly get lost-or got injured. I used to tell my friends that I couldn't move because Emma loved the area. BTW: Emma is now fully converted to indoors, but it took me, us, 12 years for her to stop being depressed she couldn't get out. The attached garage is her "outdoor space now". Keith being home more than I am, specially when he started working remotely from home helped converting her into a fully indoor cat. And .. there is Dewey she can hiss and growl at when she gets irritated. Dewey is another "kitten- I would take care of his health and find him a home" "project". Dewey has some health conditions, plus after just couple of moneths I could not imagine giving him away. At that time between Keith and I, we already had 3 cats. Now, after Keith's "babies" passed, we are down to 2 "special kids". I love them to pieces. So does Keith.

We've pretty much decided to keep her! We're going to call today to set up a time to get her spayed...hopefully soon. She'll be mostly indoors as she is an excellent escape artist! Out two other pups get along with her. The cats are afraid of her to an extent and she is afraid of them lol.

We've always called her mama. Her past owners name will not be used. My mom wants to name her hope but I think we'll prob stick to mama as she responds to it. She really is one of the sweetest dogs I've ever seen. I know he beat her so she cowers to a lot of things. It literally breaks your heart. I really don't like people who mistreat anything but esp animals. If you don't want to take care of a pet don't get one! It's not that hard to comprehend.

Thank you very much :o)
