Happy Birthday to your son. When my brother turned 21 he sent flowers to my Mother. A big bouquet of blue carnations and the card said it's a boy. This is my oldest brother that lives here in PA not the bro I just reunited with.

Good morning all!

Yesterday brought me another knee injection and I wasn't in the mood to do much of anything after that. The first storm system was all rain and we're expecting snow this afternoon. I'm supposed to go to dinner with friends but that's in doubt with the looming storm.

QOTD: I enjoy most of the year in Chicago. Snow was something I silently suffered through in the past. However, due to my limited mobility, each of the last few years in winter has gotten harder and harder. I now can't go out with any measurable snow and can't clear off / shovel out my car by myself.

Accountability: I bought cookies and had three yesterday.

B: Dannon Light and Fit Coconut Yogurt, Tangerine.

L: Turkey & Provolone roll up.

D: Burger without a bun & salad at a restaurant. If weather puts the kibosh on plans, I'll have a salad at home.

HW: 371 SW(8/9/21): 324 CW: 215. 0 lbs til goal of skin reduction surgery. I'm still looking for a new plastic surgeon.

Good morning! For me it's not just that the week is agonizingly long, the rush hour commute home has been awful all week. My normal 35-40 minute commute has been close to an hour and a half every day and last night sitting in traffic, I thought about jumping out of my car and just running down the freeway like a crazy person. But then, that would include running, and we all know I don't run. I did great at dinner last night, actually, did great all day yesterday. Aiming for that today.

Who suggested/already watched The Great? I'm hooked. It will be slow going getting to watch it because we've picked for our Wednesday night dinner and watch night with our buddy, but I'm excited to see the next episode.

Anybody looking for great super comfy, slightly dressy, feel like your in your jammies pants? Just got some Spanx PCP, hi rise flares. Expensive, but man they make me look like I have a butt and they feel like a million bucks!. Just saying.

Also, my book train group already had Midnight Library heading to me, so I'll have it today and didn't have to buy it. Love the women I exchange books with!

QoTD: I feel like anything I say here is going to be obnoxious. So yeah. San Diego. I hate the 19 days a year when it's too hot or too cold.

menu:

B: 3 oz chicken breast, 1/3 c cottage cheese

l: insides of a taco and a couple of scoops refried beans (MUST eat this today!!!)

D: TJ's Frenched pork chops and maybe haloumi and salad

Peace Everybody!

I read the only woman in the room.
I was bummed they stopped right after WWII. So went and looked her up online. She had a colorful life.

Mornin' All!

I was supposed to go to my mom's this afternoon to help her organize her documents for her tax meeting because she's freaking out about it, even though the appointment isn't for another month. Sigh. But now she's freaking out that the stuff from her credit union hasn't arrived yet, so she wants to wait until she gets it. So I got to pu**** off for another week. Which is just as well because it rained yesterday and the temps won't get above 20 F today, so I'm a little concerned about potentially icy roads. So I will be spending the day reading, maybe watching a movie, baking cookies for a social engagement tomorrow night, and making turkey chili. Sounds like the perfect day!

QOTD: the only thing I hate about Wisconsin weather is winter (although this one has been pretty mild - and actually, other than a couple of glaring exceptions, most of them HAVE been mild for the last 10-15 years). The other seasons here are great - the only exception being the handful of summer days when it gets above 90 F. HATE that. I do not like extremes in general. My preference is about 40-85 F. As far as escaping winter, I don't want to live in Southeast again, and I don't want to live out west because I'd be too far away from friends and family. And of course, many of those places have hot summers. Pacific Northwest would be great temperature-wise, but then, rain and cloudiness. And distance. At one time I dreamed about having a condo in Austin, TX for the winter - and another condo up here for the other three seasons. Austin, of course, has winters - but we're talking 40 or 50 F, which would be perfectly acceptable (boy am I starting to get off tangent here....sorry!)

B: skyr with 1/2 diced cooked apple. Coffee with half & half.

MS: Fit Frappe blended with ice.

L: pho and a protein muffin

AS: 1/2 C protein yogurt topped with L&F creme brulee (I wish that'd make that one of their regular flavors! I love it!)

D: turkey chili

have a great day, everyone!

You can stock up and freeze the yogurts in the container - they are great semi-fro/soft and thaw out fine.
