Humpty Hump everybody!

Well, in a victory for lawlessness, the ice shanty prostitution mayor resigned yesterday. No doubt that Ice Pimps everywhere are sitting high on their red crushed velvet benches while taking long, slow victory laps in their tricked out purple Zambonis. Sipping Cristal and hot cocoa and eating skating rink pizza as they slide around the park district pond. Its the wild west out there guys.

My son had 9 and a half hours of differential equations homework on Saturday night. I wish that I could do something to help, but I've got nothing to offer. I really don't even know what differential equations are. In any case, we are just trying to be supportive and make sure that he has what he needs to get through the semester. I think that we are going to encourage him to take some of his electives virtually this summer instead of working.

Big news, Marilyn is going to Newport Beach for a tennis tournament in June. I think its is right next to Costa Mesa. So she has agreed to check out our restaurant while she is there. (and make the reservations, but I didn't tell her that yet)

QOTD: Timely question. While I was outside for 6 hours and periodically dipping my hands into the water Saturday, I spent a lot of time pondering this. Gloves made my hands cold for the most part. When I needed to warm up, I would either mitten (taking the fingers off so that I could make a fist), put my bare hands under my jacket so that my stomach could warm them, or when they got really cold put them down the back of my pants so that my butt could warm them. In any case, I think gloves are mainly effective to provide protection from touching something cold.

Breakfast: chaffle

Lunch: Meatloaf

Dinner: TBD

Have a great day, all!

Jim, I gotta confess I have no idea what the first paragraph is about. Do you think it's a language barrier?

i remember doing some differential equations in college calculus, but damn if I can remember anything about them (other than I know we did some!)

I went to summer school every summer. It helped me get pretty far ahead in school. I finished in 3.5 years - and that was with a transfer between my freshman and sophomore years. If I hadn't transferred colleges, I probably would have finished in 3 years.

QOTD No gloves, I live in a near tropical climate. I do wear fuzzy socks in the house at this time of year, tile floors are cold. I am usually barefoot in the house and yard, I hate shoes. I only wear sandals.

I am doing a pot roast for dinner, need to put that on. Then out to some stores for a bit. Grandson is coming over to lift weights with husband in the garage, who is 77 himself. Husband has been power lifting for decades and still pretty strong, but really feeling his strength ebb as well. Yikes. I need to get out there as well, but I can't get over bursitis in BOTH hips, and then there are the knees. I did physical therapy and it helped. A little. I can barely move sometimes. My strength has plummeted the last few years. It is one on the big reasons I had bariatric surgery. Losing weight hasn't helped with those issues, but I can get around a lot better. I will just keep trying to build strength. I want to be able to climb in and out of the boat, not easy at low tide. It is a VERY high step up for me. At least I have a 100 pounds less to lift. I just realized today, I am down 100 !!! I could be very happy here, but another 20 or 30 would be a dream. I may get there as I am still losing 10 pounds a month. I keep thinking weight loss is slowing, but I graph my weight on my fitness pal, and it still the same slope.

Congrats on the 100 lbs!
You can def lose more because you are still in the honeymoon period, if you are losing about 10lbs a month!

Great job!
