What's on your Tuesday Menu?

Morning all! I hope you all had a LOVEly day yesterday!

Work was bananas, as usual, but then Grim and I had a nice dinner out. Surprise surprise, I went with lobster for dinner, too. Because lobster for breakfast & dinner is a good day, even if the rest of the day was a mess, haha :)

It's less than 0 degrees right now and we had a surprise 8" of snow but we are officially at the EFF-IT point of the season when we don't even consider closing school. I also have a board meeting tonight so it's another 14-15 hour day.

QOTD: Do you have a place where everyone knows you when you walk in? I was jus****ching Cheers (at 4am) and realized I don't have a place--not a restaurant, bar, store, etc... where anyone really knows me when I walk in. I used to have a barista at Starbucks near my old house who knew my order before I asked, but that's the only place I can think of. Our friends go to the same restaurant every Friday night and going with them feels like walking in with royalty because everyone knows them. The waitress was invited to their daughter's wedding!

Ok, yesterday was not great for food obviously. Amazingly, I didn't eat any chocolate, but food was crazy high in calories and I had 2 Cosmos (oof I was way too tipsy). Better today!

Good mornin everyone.

let me just say yesterday SUCKED. I had to be at my aunt and uncles house when their son had to say goodbye to his dad...maybe for the last time. Holy **** did we all bawl, you could hear him sobbing. I held it together slightly but when we came home to let the dogs out I did a big ugly cry. My cousin is hoping to get a week worth of emergency leave...if not we'll be helping them request it through the Red Cross. The last time I saw my cousin cry was when he went off to basic 20+ years ago and it was nothing like this. Please if you could, send some positive thoughts and prayers that he gets leave. His wife is having a double mastectomy on March 1st. The poor guy has so much on his plate.

Not sure what today will hold. We'll likely go over there some time today to help out. I think I'm going to try and make some healthy breakfast things for them to eat. It's just about the only thing I can do to "help". I feel so utterly useless...I can't do much at all. I did vacuum for them yesterday and helped when I could.
