G'morning all!

Hurray for jr Fri-yay!

I am so excited because tomorrow we are leaving for the snow. Haven't been skiing for at least two years. Last year was shut down because of COVID and the year before I think not enough snow. I'll be pulling the snow suits out of the closet to see what to wear. I have one the style of Lady Gaga in the House of Gucci. Haven't worn it in ages because it was old style but now because of that movie I might wear it again on the slopes.

QOTD: hah! I went to an all girls Catholic school run by nuns! They tried their best to crush any spirit you had and not encourage it. For 12 years I wore white button down shirt, black pinafore dress, white knee socks and black patent shoes. And a bolo with the school crest/moto to keep the top button of the white shirt always closed and choke you to death. TWELVE YEARS!

My meals yesterday, doing IF (open window 1:00-7:00)

  • Coffee
  • Barebells bar, chomp stick, hb egg
  • Grilled mixed seafood (shrimp, scallop, fish) and spinach
  • Hot cocoa
  • E: 5 miles jog

Happy jr Fri-yay!

Nuns are brutal. I dropped out of Catholic school in 1st grade. Glad to see you made it out alive.

I did first through third grade with the sadistic nuns. It turns out that I had some of the same ones that taught my Mother, and they were mean then. Glad you survived intact, I have an aversion to plaid due to the uniforms to this day, except for my clan tartan who wouldn't love men in kilts...

Good morning ~ I remember having to drive on that kind of ice at 16 years old when I worked at 5 am on the weekends. Scary stuff. I can't believe I ever did that! No thank you. My test came back negative for covid, but I still have symptoms - sore throat, breathing issues, headache... and was not cleared to return to work. I was referred for a different respiratory covid test this morning that may explain what I have and of course in case it was a false neg. This test is rapid 3-6 hours turn around. I need to make an appt with my PCP when I know.

I feel fine enough to eat much better than I am. I'm probably using it as an excuse to eat comfort food. I've had my fill of soup and crackers and want real food. Protein it is today.

QOTD - I remember kids dressing up in pajamas at school, but that could have been Halloween or a special reading day. My son had lots of fun dress up days.

Have a great day everyone

Good Morning Queen JB and Menuers,

We are in the midst of the weather you are describing here in Pittsburgh. Fortunately, the morning drive was just rain but with falling temperatures it is supposed to get ugly for the ride home and as the snow sets in during the night even and uglier commute tomorrow. So it is what it is and as long as my flight to Florida takes off in time next Thursday I will not complain.

Oh the Meme How I would kill for those apps. I think at my age I missed the boat.

I did get my OH ticket yesterday so I got that going. I will only need a flight and I will be good.

If anyone knows a super-secret way to get cheap flights let me know. Right now I only rely on Hopper.

QOTD: We just did small things for holidays but back in the 70"s you were allowed to send in cakes and cookies with you kid for birthdays without an issues. Hell back then you were allowed to beat some else's kid for being out of line. Remember the good old days.

Accountability: Pizzelles with Chocolate whipped cream. Jerky. And instead of sitting down and just eating out of the bag of granola that has been killing me I put together a bowl of LF Greek yogurt with Chocolate PB2 and just sprinkled some granola on it for the win.

TSS: 4 years 1 month 23 days: 143 LBS, (Lowest 129.4)

B: Coffee with SF CM chocolate caramel creamer

MS: Premier chocolate peanut butter protein shake and berries

CB: Coffee with SF Chocolate Caramel CM creamer

L.2 two wings and a little Mississippi pot roast and snack select

D: leftover something

Exercise: No in too much pain today but getting better.

Water and vitamins: On track. I take a Bariatric Advantage Ultra multi w/iron I use bariatric advantage Calcium chews and 500mg of Magnesium. sublingual B12 1x a week

Everybody Have a great day.

Brightest Blessings.

Chrissy

Chrissy - what days are you arriving and departing? I'm thinking of going on Thursday and coming back on Sunday. If so, I'll need a room for one of those nights, since you're just staying for two nights. Lemme know. Although it's not like I need to book it any time soon...

I use Kayak to find flights. It might be a bit early to find good deals, but these days, you never know. The old rule of thumb used to be to get them between 2-6 months out (sometimes you can find even better deals about two or three weeks before, but then, you're taking a risk that everything will be sold out - so I won't do that for something like a conference!)
