What's on your Wednesday Menu?
Mornin' All!
yea I've had congestion and on-again/off-again sore throat since Christmas, but I've had three PCR tests - nope. Always negative. It's just some pesky cold that won't go away - or maybe the dry air - something I probably would have just ignored pre-COVID.
not much going on today. I don't think we're going to get any snow since the storm is south of here. Other than a handful of really cold days, it's really been an easy winter here in south central Wisconsin. All these storms seem to have passed us by. Thankfully.
I might go over to water aerobics again this morning if it's not too cold out. I'm kind of on a roll with eating and exercise. Down a half pound this morning (from last Wednesday). That's so little that it's hard to tell if it's true weight loss or just less water or intestinal "material" in my system, but I'm going to convince myself it's the former - if nothing else, so I'll stick to the plan (a half lb of loss a week is all i can really expect since I'm about 8-10 lbs overweight these days, depending on the day. Those days of five lb drops are long gone..).
QOTD: our basement bathroom has vertically-striped wallpaper in it, which isn't too obnoxious, so we've just kept it up. Every other wall in the house is painted. Wallpaper has been "out" for several years (people have used bold color paints for decorative "flair" instead), but I've read that wallpaper is starting to make a comeback. I'm not ever going back to it, though. It's too much of a mess - to put up and take down. If I want something other than a plain Jane wall, I can go with non-neutral color paint and hang a couple of pictures.
B: plain skyr with cranberry/cherry compote, coffee with half & half
MS: Fit Frappe blended latte
L: chickpea spread on Keto bread with cucumber and tomato slices
AS: slice of protein malt loaf, 2 Keto "energy bites"
D: not sure. I might make butternut squash soup, but if not that, then probably just a protein muffin and a thing of Greek yogurt
have a great day, everyone!
Good Morning! JB- I feel did you on the sinus infections, they are horrible.

It looks like the groundhog saw its shadow. I don't know how close these annual festivities are to Chrissy, but I can totally picture her all bundled up, joining the townspeople as they await the decision. It does seem like he sees his shadow every year, doesn't it.
Enough rodent talk, I guess.
It's pretty snowy here. I haven't checked the forecast to see how much we are supposed to get. I know that my older sons's school in Colorado was called off. In Chicago, they were telling the kids to be prepared for an asynchronous day today, but I haven't heard anything official about it yet.
The OH conference tickets are for sale. I don't know if the 2020 tickets are still good, I may just go ahead and buy a 2022, so that I have one on hand.
QOTD: We do not have wallpaper in our current house. I think that was a conscious decision, although we had wallpaper in our earlier houses. My sister's are obsessed with Serena and Lily wallpaper. My younger sister has a wallpaper guy/paint guy that is amazingly talented. Because of this, she needs to work to maintain her relationship with him. The first time he came she asked if he wanted a coffee, thinking he would say "no" and return to work. He surprised her by saying "yes, can I have a Cappuccino please". So out came the milk frother.
By the end of the wallpapering, she was cooking him three meals a day. Now they text each other and the families watch sports together. He isn't rude, just a friendly South American guy with a very formal way about him. But the wallpaper looks fantastic in her dining room.
Breakfast: omlette
Lunch: maki burger
Dinner: Hello Fresh
have a great day, all!

Punxy is about an hour and 40 minutes from me and sorry to report I have never hit that drunk fest. Should have done that in my party days but never did. I am a little old for it now. Even though I do love a good morning drunk. That just prove you got nothing going on that day.

Lunch - well, not sure. We had leftover pizza but I forgot it so...we will need to find something.
Dinner - guess who didn't plan? ME! I will be having something veggie, maybe tofu scramble on corn, still eating on my Green Goddess salad. It's so good!
Have a great day!
