Mernin' errybody! Holy hell that is a lot of snow!

QOTD - all these years later (13 years later), I can finally say I no longer assign food a good/bad or clean/dirty connotation to it. I absolutely am so grateful for my tool, but I don't call myself "bad" if I have a donut. I simply acknowledge that I wanted one at the moment, and I let it go. I don't think that carby foods are bad, because I know that my brain and body need them. Now, I acknowledge all carbs are not the same. I am talking oatmeal, pasta, good, grain-filled bread, not simple carbs. But I am not afraid of them like I used to be. I just look at food differently and for that I am grateful. I'm still very much a work in progress but I'm not the mess I was before surgery. It's taken years and years.

Breakfast - fasting so hot black coffee

Snack - banana and a granola bar

Lunch - it's wet and drizzly here, so thinking broccoli soup, a croissant, and a side salad

Dinner - I made the TikTok green goddess salad so I will be having that, chickpea salad, and toasted naan with some vegan cream cheese.

I hope you all have a great day!

Oooh, let us know how the green goddess salad is. I've been seeing it but all that tiny little piece chopping is not for me - too lazy.

Okay, it is...so good. I was literally licking the dressing from the blender. I hear you on the chopping, but it is worth it. Seriously good. Even hubs had a huge bowl. It keeps in the fridge for a week and with the amount it makes you will be eating it the entire week. It's also really good for the uhh, digestive system if you catch my drift? One thing, I used a little too much shallot, so I would cut that down a bit. (My shallot was large). Also, I used 5-6 mini cucumbers, not the 2-3 mentioned. SOOOOO GOOD! highly recommend.

QOTD: I haven't come close to my weight loss goal, but I have to say my self esteem is much higher. I'm doing things for myself without worrying about being judged. For instance I got a pixie haircut and let's just say family is 2 faced about their opinions.

Good Morning Queen JB and Menuers,

Wow Julia just so glad there was no power outage. It has been a long time since we saw a snow like that. If I am not mistaken 2009 and we lost power for three days. Having power actually makes it a bit enjoyable. Don't spend the whole day working girl take a little time for yourself. You deserve it!

So your weekend sounds a little better than Mine. I went to Aldi in search of the strawberry whipped cream Trish Mentioned on Friday and our Aldi does not have it yet. I was so sad. Then a friend asked me to join him on the Montour Trail for cross country skiing yesterday. I have never been on ski's ever in my life. I wasn't even 5 minutes in and I went down and twisted my arm. I do believe I have a pinched nerve or bruised muscle in my bicep. I did end up finishing the hour of cross country but when I got home it was a lot of heat, Ice, Tylenol, and Biofreeze. I still can't lift it any higher than my waste. I have a call into my doctor and they will get back to me around 10. Last time I did something stupid like this I got a steroid and I had relief in 24 hours.

QOTD: I guess I would say activities. I never would have gone outside in 25° weather to go skiing or run a 5k. When we were skiing yesterday My friend said he could not think of one other friend that would go with him, if it would not include drinking or a meal at the end of the activity.

If it's a bicep tendon issue and it lingers, definitely look into physical therapy. I delayed that for more than a year and the relief and strength I've gotten from PT has had me kicking myself for not doing it sooner!

oh no - I hope you're OK! I'd never go downhill skiing (only went once and didn't really like it) because of my hip arthritis and osteoporosis. I'm afraid I'd fall and break a bone! I figured cross-country might be OK (but have never gone), but it sounds like maybe not. Ugh. I think I'd be better off just staying off skis altogether!
