That's my Opal...she loves to show off her rear end. A lot. LOL
yesterday was ok. It was a high high pain day but I did manage to finish a bracelet for me with rings I had on hand. I have a few orders to do but I have to wait till the first to order a little bit of the supplies. It feels good to make things but man do I hurt this morning. I need to figure out a pace that works better for me. I just got the weave where I didn't need the tutorial and I ent and lost my mind! Pics at the end. I treated it with liver of sulfur and then buffed it with baking soda between my hands. I'll get better pics of the antiqued one today.
food was pretty decent yesterday with one caveat. We had some stuffed hatch chilies and the meat just did not agree with me. It sat like a lead brick and I ended up throwing up last night. Yuck. Haven't done that in a long time. It wasn't spicy. I think the meat was just to dense...like a hockey puck. It's a shame but I'll be making my own again instead of buying it from the meat counter. The chili itself was so good...I might try a poblano and stuff it a better filling.
No big plans for the day. The ****ty neighbor made drugs last night, at least we're pretty sure he did. He is so dumb and it's going to catch up with him.
My uncle is still not well. He's tested negative 4 times for Covid. His sodium is WAY off, so much so they gave him infusions of saline and plans on doing another. We're betting that all his electrolytes are off. They want him to have more protein so I'm going to drop a few premier protein drinks for him to try and see if he likes them.
QOTD: I'm looking for coffee suggestions...or tea. What's your favorite grounds or k-cups? My mom prefers medium to light roasts but I like dark. We try to compromise. I tend to not like chocolate flavored as much.
Right now for me it's the cinnamon dolce from Starbucks. I really want to try the Madagascar vanilla and honey...I might try it when I get paid again.
B: Oatmeal with strawberries and coffee x2
L: PP shake with strawberries or blueberries
D: 3 ozs pork shoulder done in the crockpot and some cabbage
S: air fried broccoli, yogurt with strawberries. Probably someTzatziki dip with the broccoli

Morning! Love those bracelets.
The snow is falling fast here. It just started and we already have more than 3 inches. We are expecting close to 3 FEET of snow today. It will all be fun if we keep power and I get to bake all day, but god help us if I am stuck in the cold with no tv.
I'm just finishing up my coffee now, and then I am going to get to the baking right away! I have so many valentines day cookie ideas I am dying to try out. My coworkers are not even prepared for how much crap I am going to bring in next week!
Speaking of crap... we ordered Chinese food last night. Not the healthy steamed veggie, either... ooops. But there was something about the forecast that made us want comfort food. We have tons left, so there will be some on the menu today, too.
QOTD: I have switched over the a Nespresso and I am so happy. But when I was using the Keurig I discovered some inexpensive Kcups on Amazon that I liked. The company was San Francisco Bay, and I really like the cinnamon pods, best! As for tea, I usually drink several cups of Irish Breakfast throughout the day, and my favorite brand is from Trader Joe's!
I haven't bothered with MFP yet today, but here is the no so great, but honest plan:
B: egg white & turkey sausage omelette
L: chicken lo mein & chicken fingers
D: homemade fish tacos
- High Weight before LapBand: 200 (2008)
- High Weight before RNY: 160 (2015)
- Lowest post-op weight: 110 (2016)
- Maintenance Weight: 120 (2017-2019)
- Battling Regain Weight: 135 (current)
Hi Ya, I also bought a NESPRESSO Pot...I didn't like it at all. The pods were expensive and way to strong for me. I should buy stock in the coffee machines and coffee pods, I have bought so many different espresso makers. I finally went back to my Keurig!! I found a coffee pod a couple of sites that have pods for Keurigs. Its called ANGELINAS the pods I tried were called HAWAIAN blend. YUM YUM I think I misunderstood you, I thought you got rid of your NESPRESSO . Sorry

I like the Death Wish Medium Roast K-cups (I also get their beans occasionally too); it's splurgy but delicious.
Loose teas, I like Adagio and tea forte; night time tea, I love the Whittard sleepy tea and during the day I will drink the twinings Green Tea, either salted caramel or cherry Bakewell. Celestial Seasonings has some good decaf and herbal options too. I also like the Tazo herbal teas with dessert flavors like lemon loaf. I make all of them either hot or cold depending, except for the sleepy tea, I prefer it hot only. I also switch between Portland Breakfast, Irish Breakfast and British Breakfast with a splash of half and half. My usual routine is 3 cups of coffee, 1 cup of black tea, then a green tea or switch to herbals.

Mornin Weekenders!
I have to host a Zoom lecture in about 90 minutes, so I really need to get cracking to make sure everything is going to work seamlessly. Will do so when I'm done with this. I'm supposed to meet a friend for a late lunch today at a Mexican place. Usually I meet this woman for coffee instead (but I'll be busy with this program this morning) and she's one of those people who are consistently late, so I think I'll ask her to text me when she's leaving her apartment. I can sit around a coffee shop for 20 minutes waiting for someone (slightly annoying, but it's do-able), but not at a restaurant.
I just found out about the AARP free online movies and watched the ones they showed last night ("Theory of Everything") and the night before ("Becoming the Ricardos"). They're showing "King Richard" tonight, so we'll probably watch that as well. DH has been wanting to see it.
other than the above, nothing much going on today...
QOTD: we've been drinking Aldi's coffees for the last few months because they're cheap (less than $4 a bag), and they're not bad. We always have a bag of vanilla on hand. Sometimes I'll pick up some special flavored one (like pumpkin spice, creme brulee, coconut...). Some I like, some not - but it's nice to change it up once in awhile.
B: plain skyr with cranberry/cherry compote, coffee with half & half
MS: protein latte (I discovered I still had some Fit Frappe chai powder in my cabinet - wow! Haven't had any Fit Frappe in a long time! I'll be making that this morning. The chai flavor isn't my favorite, but I used to like having it occasionally for a change when I was drinking Fit Frappe products pretty much exclusively)
L: either two street tacos or part of a fajita (about a cup of meat & veggies) at the Mexican place. Plus 10 tortilla chips (i.e., about 1 oz) with salsa
AS: protein muffin
D: not sure yet
have a great day, everyone!
Hi all! It's been awhile since I've posted and miss having a structured menu. QOTD: I drink folgers decaf maybe once a week if that, but no tea or anything. I'm not to big on hot drinks, I like Water.
B: Crack an egg
S1: string cheese
L: shrimp, green beans
S2: cottage cheese
S: homemade chili
No nighttime cheese snack today. It's approved by the dietician but I try not to eat after supper.

Good morning ~ Beautiful work, Melody. Not to brag, but today is supposed to be sunny and beautiful here so we are headed to the beach for a walk and seafood today at an outdoor restaurant that is dog friendly. Going to my parents grave while we are there as well. It'll be a nice change getting out since the there is no football today! Tomorrow is another story.
QOTD - I drink Starbucks Med. Pike Place k-cups now. I used to drink Peet's Major Dickasons Dark roast, but it started tasting bitter and giving me heartburn. Tea - I love Bigalow - Salted Caramel and English Breakfast. Tazo - Passionfruit and Vanilla Macaron. Good Earth- Sweet and Spicy Cinnamon.
B- coffee, eggs
l - oysters!!! Can't wait
d- filet mignon
Long walk on the beach
Have a great weekend!
