hi all- 3 meetings this morning one I have to lead so after this one i need to put on my face and appropriate clothing since i will be on video. after those are over I will be chilling out.
QOTD: growing up allllll the time. My favorite will always be samoas, the peanut butter tan ones, and the chocolate peanut butter ones.
food today- unsure. I am going out after work hours but not sure exactly where.
Mornin' All!
it's freezing out again today - it's still below zero (F), and the high is supposed to be a blistering 15. Two friends are planning to go to a fair maps rally downtown at noon and asked me to go along. I know this is a really important issue and I really should go, but the temp is giving me pause. Walking the couple of blocks from the parking garage to the capitol, and then standing outside for however long they're going to stand outside to listen to speakers - just doesn't sound appealing in this weather. So I'm torn. Nothing else on the agenda today other than some kind of exercise - and reading. The murder trial is over (found guilty of first degree intentional homicide plus some other charges, as expected), so I have my days free again.
QOTD: I haven't bought any since well before surgery and did only rarely before then, so no...
B: skyr with cranberry/cherry compote, coffee with half & half
MS: protein shake or protein latte
L: matzo ball soup
AS: protein muffin
D: not sure - maybe 1/2 an Impossible Burger on 1/2 a slim bun with some kind of vegetable
have a great day, everyone!
actually, great! I used some turkey stock I made after Thanksgiving that I freeze and use for such things (i.e., the types of soups that are really enhanced by a very flavorful, homemade stock). The matzo balls were really good, too. I have four left. I think I'm going to run over to one of the stores that I've heard sells Asian-style chicken broth (e.g., a pho broth) for the rest of them, because boxed chicken or turkey stock just doesn't "do it" like the homemade did (although I suppose I could just try doctoring it up). But anyway, yes - the matzo ball soup was great!!
When you posted about the soup it reminded me of going to the delis in S. California. Such good soup.
