Hello and Blated happy New Year,

Well the holiday season is over so it is time to refocus my efforts to continue my weightloss journey. I feel that I have loosened my grip on my eating a bit. Sometimes the all or nothing mentality can sabotage my efforts. I need to work on this aspect of myself.

It has been cold and snowy here in the Inland Northwest. Ski season has started for my family. Last year I didn't go at all since I was so heavy (at my highest weight) plus out of shape and downhill skiing can be taxing. We went on Sunday and I did really well. I was only slightly worried that I would get muscle fatigue since you are in a slight bent knee position. We usually go once per week during the season. I love physical activities that are fun "exercise" instead of the usual treadmill exercises.

I have been telling myslef that I needed to re-start my weightlifting routine but haven't really been feeling it. I decided to give resistance bands a try and really like them. I have started a short (15 min) resistance band routine (I found some on Youtube to follow) in addition to my usual treadmill and yoga routine.

QOTD: I haven't reached my goal yet.

You're gonna do great!! I also have the all or nothing and sometimes throw in the towel for the whole day(or week) if I fall off track a bit. I try and remember what someone once told me, if I get a flat in one tire do I flatten the rest?!? Too bad it doesn't always snap my brain into the game.

What I love about Weigh****chers is that nothing is off plan. You just count those points. But when I look it up before I eat it, it does sometimes go in the garbage instead of in my body.

I'm really loving resistance bands, too - better than the machines in the weight room. I ordered my own set for home - they're due to arrive tomorrow. YAY!!
