Good morning, everybody!

Happy New Years to all! You make my life better for being here and sharing each day.

I have a few things that I need to get done before the football starts in earnest at 2:30: Last Crossfit class of the year, pack for New Orleans and set up the new CPAP that they mailed to me this week/mail back the old machine.

Our flight tomorrow is at 8:30, so the plan for tonight is mostly crab and football. We are having our normal 6:30 happy hour because our friends are mostly not going out.

We had a nice time at the pre-New years celebration last night. They gave our group a portion of the bar area and we had yummy snacks from about 7-10. The ladies all seemed to love Marilyn's new purse. I told them that my Italian friend said "OK, I guess, but Prada would have been better"

QOTD: New Years won't start for me until I get back from New Orleans, but I'm joining Amy in whatever plan she is doing starting Monday.

Breakfast: Protein bar

Lunch: Pizza

Dinner:Crab and Champagne

Have a great day, all!

Good morning ~ See ya' 2021, hello 2022! I hope everyone has a wonderful safe evening. We will probably not make it to east coast New Years time in CA again this year! There will be off plan food today and wine. Homemade tamales for dinner my friend made, snacks and wine while watching Oceans 11, the original - Robs tradition and maybe the EST ball drop - who knows. Otherwise today taking the dogs to the park, grocery shopping, organizing the kitchen, scheduling my workouts, dusting off MFP and setting myself up for a successful new year.

QOTD - Yes! I love New Years Resolutions - its a clean slate for this sort of thing, especially after the super indulgent carb heavy holiday season. My resolution is to be a machine and lose 42 pounds by staying 100% on food plan, exercising every day, no soda or alcohol - period.

But for today, carbs will be had

b-coffee, English muffin with ham and cheese

l-leftover Chinese

D - tamales

s-cheese, crackers and wine in the evening

Peace out 2021!!!

QOTD- I just don't do them.

I was hoping it would be a quiet new years eve, but at Costco I saw all of the fireworks flying off of the pallets and new pallets being brought in. Here I was thinking they didn't have fireworks here. Oh well hopefully I'll survive.

I missed the Alamo Bowl and I'm happy that I did. Another miserable Oregon loss, all of the highlights were of Oklahoma, so nothing to see here, move along...

No plans for the evening, jus****ch too much TV or read.

Have a great day everyone!

Good morning! We had a wonderful time with our early NYE/birthday celebration last night and enjoyed great company. Dinner was fabulous. I didn't even order anything! The guys just all let me have a bite of their plates and I was very satisfied. Fun bites, no real bad choices, (though I did have to make myself limit to one bite of the lobster spaghetti. Not sure if it had more spaghetti or butter, but it was dangerous!) I did have a couple of ****tails. They are just so festive and it was such a fun night.

Today we are spending the day doing some errands and have a nice lunch out. Maybe at our favorite Italian place. I always find a reasonable choice on the menu. Tonight, we will snug at home with a fire and a glass of wine. We'll probably toast to the new year about 9 pm and be in bed before 10.

QoTD: I usually just sort of make generalized thoughts about where I want to go with my journey in the coming year. I would like to continue to try to not be so focused on every bite I put in my mouth, and instead focus on quality food that also fuels. I've been trying this for a couple weeks, and gave up posting on My Fitness Pal to try and break my cycle of overthinking everything. I am up a pound or two since I started, but it's also been a food frenzy everywhere I go. So with the new year, I hope to work on normalcy and balance.

Menu:

B: scramble egg and 1/4 cottage cheese

L: tbd

D: a bit of ham, and salad. Mashed potatoes for the hubs. I think this is the last of the left overs from the holidays. Not counting the hunks of amazing prime rib that I vacuum sealed and got into the freezer right away. Those will be lovely later on this winter! But I think I've reclaimed my fridge for the most part.

Peace Everybody!
