I could do mustard or ketchup no problem. If you saw the video, he was smart and kept his hat on.

I think Pitt plays tonight.

Yes they played and lost. The quarterback didn't play was saving himself for NFL draft and didn't want to get hurt. Crazy in my mind he opted out.

Mornin' Everyone!

online Mah Jongg this morning after skipping two weeks due to people's hectic schedules. My senior resistance training class at 11:30. Nothing else scheduled, but I want to drop by a used office furniture place or two to look for a conference chair that has a gap in the back (between frame and cushion) to use with my soon-to-arrive resistance tubes so I can do the same routine at home on snowy days (we do some exercises in class - like chest presses - that involve looping the tube around the back of the chair (i.e., through the gap - so the tube is looped around the metal frame at the top). I also want to do some straightening up around here. I'm not a neatnik, but on the other hand, too much clutter starts getting on my nerves. I've reached that point.. No plans for NYE or NYD. We were originally going to go to a hockey game, but with COVID taking off again, no thanks.

QOTD: we never put any Christmas decorations up, so there's nothing to take down!

B: 1/2 C protein oatmeal topped with...yes...L&F creme brulee! (thanks for the prompt, Chrissy - I bought ten things of it last night!)

MS: protein shake

L: butternut squash soup and some kind of protein - maybe a Baby Bel cheese thing (?)

AS: WW lemon/blueberry yogurt pie (??)

D: gnocchi with marinara sauce

have a great day, everyone!

QOTD: We leave our tree up until January 6th, in our family it is referred to as "Little Christmas" or Three kings day. I am glad to have it up as I love the lights and quiet mornings with coffee by the tree. As long as there are no needles falling, I will keep it unitl next weekend.

Happy New Year everyone and thank you for keeping this group going. I don't post often, but do enjoy reading and you do keep me motivated.

January 6th is technically the 12th day of Christmas! Back when I went to church - a million years ago - as a kid - we called it Epiphany. And yep - it's the day the three wise men came.

Good morning everyone and happy Thursday. Today is going to be a good day. My husband and I are both off today. We have a workout planned and a nap.

I head back to work on Tuesday and I'm ready. We had a wonderful holiday. My son wasn't able to come home though and I miss him. I am thankful for FaceTime.

QOTD- I took down my tree yesterday and the mantle decorations. It gave me a reason to deep clean and dust my living room and rearrange all the furniture.

Food for today-

2 scrambled eggs, 2 oz ham, green onion and siracha

Big Mac in a bowl

Steak and broccoli

Lots of water. I bought myself a new gallon water jug and I love it. It's amazing how much better I feel when I get my water in.

Have a great day everyone.

Good morning all!

QJB- Sounds like you're doing a mitzvah visiting your friend. I have a few depressed friends who can be very negative or downright nasty. I try to check on them every couple weeks even if I do come away from the conversations feeling down. I keep in mind that I can choose to keep the lines of communication open as a supportive friend or close them if it feels like it is negatively impacting me too much.

Today, I'm continuing to try to coordinate getting my Dad sprung from his rehab and set back up at his home community. We're trying a caregiver for the first time with the hope that it minimizes the risk of return visits to the hospital for his legs.

Other than that, I'm going to try to play spades at my local club and maybe take a nap.

QOTD: I don't have anything up so there's nothing to take down. I selfishly gawk at others elaborate Christmas displays without ever doing any decorating at my apartment.

B: Dannon light and fit coconut yogurt (found one 4 pack), tangerine, Starbucks iced coffee, sf vanilla, stevia.

L: Chicken salad.

D: Chicken skewers.

S: Light string cheese.

HW: 371 SW(8/9/21): 324 CW: 215. 0 lbs til goal of skin reduction surgery. I'm still looking for a new plastic surgeon.

That picture reminds me of a cat we had. When she was small she would sleep in a cigar box, and then she got older and bigger and basically only her feet were in the box but she never gave it up.

Good morning ~ Enjoy your last days of complete freedom, QJB! Today is a half work day for me followed by a mani/pedi and then lunch with my kiddo. Looking forward to the time off, I have lots of resolution plans. Plus a lot to do around the house which leads me to the QOTD.

QOTD - Usually at New years. I want to take it down asap for a fresh new year. The house seems so cluttered right now and I like how clean everything looks afterward - though somewhat naked at the same time.

B- coffee, TJ's eggwich

l - hot and sour soup, dry fried string beans

d-rotisserie chicken

s- cheese, almonds, protein bar-maybe

Good morning! I'm off today and my excitement for the day is to meet with the roofing guy. We need to figure out a fix for one of the eaves so we can get gutters mounted. Very exciting stuff. But my reward for suffering through that is my oldest son is coming to town to celebrate his birthday with his life long buddies and we've been invited down town for dinner tonight. The restaurant is fish forward and seems to have several good picks for me. And the joy of spending an evening in his company! His birthday is NYD and his best friend's is tomorrow, so they have a tradition of ringing in the new year together, final ****tails at midnight, and then no alcohol in January. Given his job is to sell spirits, and he spends nearly every evening at one bar or another promoting product, it's amazing that he can do it. But this is like year 20 for him, and he's a perfectionist and has not failed at this endeavor once. Wish I always had his will power! Anyway, I am joyfully looking forward to an evening with very entertaining boys. Errrr, men. He's turning 40. Weird that I had him at 9, right?

I feel good about my food choices yesterday and so far for the week. Be gone holiday pounds!

QoTD: Yep, no decorating here, so no clean up. I did clean my kitchen counter off and rearrange things so the counter has less items to live on it last night. Does that count?

Menu:

B: 1 egg, 2 oz ham

L: TBD, but will be very low cal, dense protein so I can save up for dinner

D: will report back tomorrow.

Peace Everybody!
