What's on your Tuesday Menu?
Good morning, everybody!
Late start for me. We played the other Cold Case Murder game last night that we had (Jamie Banks). It was hard, but we eventually managed to guess it without having to ask for clues.
I had a dream that we rented an AirBNB, but the guy that we rented it from came and went as he pleased and kept his dog in the house while we stayed there. One evening, his dog followed me out the door and peed on me and I started yelling at the guy that I wanted a rent reduction. Marilyn felt bad for him and told me that I should have been more careful about closing the door.
Undoubtedly, the cause of the dream was that I have been waiting for a late Christmas delivery (itself the subject of endless problems between the vendor and my credit card company), and when somebody knocked on the door last night, the kids yelled "Dad it might be your delivery." Well, nope, when I answered it, I discovered that it was it was a door to door charitable solicitor. So, I lost a few dollars in addition to not getting my package.
Today, we are going to the jeweler to get my ring sized and pick up a watch that I had left to have the battery changed.
QOTD: Lobster. With a little spring of butter burbling nearby. And, why not Vueve Cliquot bottles growing out of the ground like cabbages.
Breakfast: Turkey meatballs and cottage cheese
Lunch: TBD - maybe at mall
Dinner: leftover Prime Rib
Have a great day, all!

Jamie Banks is the one we have, still haven't played it yet. I forgot I had it actually. I will have to pull it out.

Good morning ~ I hope you both feel better and have a lovely Christmas with your folks. I totally resemble that meme! I am planning my New Year's resolutions in detail while secretly thinking of things to eat and drink before Saturday. I know it's a bad idea, but my wheels are still spinning in that direction. I will at least try to minimize the damage. One of my sons all time favorite restaurants are closing its doors on Friday so we are going to lunch Thursday afternoon. The best Chinese I've ever had. My favorite dish is actually vegetarian and low calorie so no big splurge there. I'm going to a Mexican restaurant for lunch today and sharing a torta.
Today is another chill, quiet day at work. I like the holidays around here - time to get caught up or ahead without much demand for my time via staff, emails or phone calls. It's really nice. Looking forward to a long relaxing weekend with no major plans.
QOTD - steak and/or beef jerky sounds perfect. Protein, delish and on plan. I would totally plant those trees in my yard guilt free!
B -coffee, eggwich
l- 1/2 carne asada torta
d-swordfish and salad
s - jerky and whisps
Have a great day!

Hello,
I hope everyone had a delightful holiday. Today my short Christmas vacation if officially over since I am back at work. The roads to visit our family on the 23rd were sheer ice for 240 of the 270 miles we had to drive. Our usual 5 hour trip took us 8 hours to complete. We saw no less then 5 accidents. Luckily, the roads were better yesterday but not up to their usually standards of being cleared of snow and ice. So, even though better, still took longer then usual to make the trip. It was wonderful to see family and spend time with our loved ones.
Eating over Christmas was not on track. I did some snacking of candy, cookies, and caramel corn over a 3 day period. I will say it wasn't as bad a pre-surgery but I still went to bed feeling sick to my stomach. Just not use to the sugar anymore. I can see how easy it would be to fall back into the old habits. However, when we got in the car yesterday I had my focus on my eating back on. I only got one day of exercise in, but that is ok. Tonight I start it up again.
QOTD: A mexican food tree with a variety of tacos, burritos, tamales, nachos....and other goodies. If I didn't have to worry about calories I would say an ice cream tree. That is something I definitely try to avoid because it is like herion to me. One tast is all I need to be hooked!
B: Oikios greek yogurt with collagen, cold brew with half n half, caramel drizzle
L: lettuce, turkey, 5 cherry tomatoes, FF french dressing
S: 1 mandarin orange with 2 TBSP light cool whip, chocolate PP
D: TBD
S: 100 cal bag kettle corn
E: 30 min yoga, 30 min treadmill
