I hope you feel better soon.

problem with bone spurs, and bone growth in the spinal canal is that like a scar tissue in the skin, they can cut it out, or shave it, but the chances are, it could grow back even bigger after a year or 2. I have a bone spur inside the spinal canal, and as long as I have functions in my legs, and my bladder, etc., my surgeon doesn't like to touch it.

Your case if different, and if they can monitor the new growth with asteroids, it may be an option for you. And the new growths would have to be monitored closely.

I hope you are taking some antacid, PPI, even for a while. The surgery like that and steroids can really aggravate he stomach and esophagus. Seriously affect.

Hugs and best wishes.

Thanks!

I do take omeprazole and even with that my stomach was very ummm active last night. Thankfully it's settled down the my BSs are in the normal range.

right now the incision pain is very intense. The pain med isn't really touching it much. I've been trying to nap all day and even though I'm exhausted I maybe got a very quick 10 minute nap. I even took some Benadryl and no dice. Here in a couple of hours they wanted me to take off the bandage. I feel like I have to pee ALL THER TIME since last night. I can take a shower after 24 hours and I probably will take one tonight before bed time. Really hoping for sleep.

Thanks again! I'm sorry to know that you have back issues as well.

I'm sorry you have those issues. I have a fairly large Schmorls node on two places and lots of spurs on the facet area.

I found out when I got there that they were doing a laminectomy of the S1, L3 and 4 and an attempt at a discectomy. It was just coded where I didn't understand it. I swear my brain is so confused sometimes that I didn't catch it when he told me during an office visit. It was exploratory too.

I miscounted...there is 39 staples and **** does it hurt to move,

My mother said I was three years old when I asked her why she bought presents and gave the credit to that old man. My son believed in Santa. When tbe other kids told him that there was no Santa, he just told them that they needed to believe.

Kevin was in fourth grade and he asked Santa for a very pricey dirt bike. After he was asleep on Christmas Eve, my husband was putting the dirt bike together. When he went to stand it under the Christmas tree, he asked me why I bought a bike with no kickstand. I was explaining that most models do not come with kickstands and Kevin woke up and heard me. He told me later that was when he realized that there was no Santa.

Yay for Wednesday and my Friday! The early part of the week has prompted me to make my Friday a shorter than planned one for everyone's good outcomes, lol, so I'll start work early and then log off when I head to PT.

QJB, I suspect I will be like you and "why am I up so early, it's vacation" several of the days. Sleep is weird; I just try to remind myself that the 8 months or so that I had mono and slept a ton and had to use the alarm to wake, I was very unproductive and couldn't get all the stuff I do done.

QOTD - I don't remember that I ever did so must have been let in on the secret early.

menu today is

coffee plus half and half X 3

eggnog yogurt

cheese and cashews

dinner tbd, I never did make the tacos but I did remember to put the meat in the freezer

Have a wonderful Wednesday everyone!

Melody, I hope you are feeling better soon but remember as they told my husband in Feb when he had his back surgery, it can take a good 6-8 months to know if it worked fully. he had spurs pressing on his nerves in his spine and a ton of scar tissue from a prior surgery they had to clean up. He is feeling much better so I consider it a success.

QOTD: yes i did but we also grew up in church and so being the youngest of 3 i wasn't out of the loop too long. It wasn't too long before we hunted the house for presents, took razor blades and cut the tape so we could see the item and tape it back.. this was middle sisters sneakiness.

food today:

the leftovers are gone so thank goodness get to eat other things.

for now:

b: coffee! lots of it

s: healthy banana muffins with carbulose

l: zuch and shiritaki noodles but need a protein here- tbd

s: ?

d: ?

Thinking about leaving the house today?
