How was WEst Side story? I'm seeing reviews that "it's better then the original" which I find suspect. I think they are all just traumatized by the trailer from the Cats movie--- if it's not absolutely horrible, it must be good, lol

Good Morning! JB- I can't wait until you post some pics of these cookies. We had a great weekend overall-there was an issue with our hotel booking and we ended up having to drive home but all that mattered was Em had a blast at the concert. I took today off, which I'm glad I did but I have all my weekend errands to tackle and Em has her booster appt this morning.
QOTD: I did tap and competitive roller skating
TSS: 7 years 4 months
B: SF latte, orange, Quaker protein/fiber oatmeal and turkey sausage
L: Chicken and cauliflower rice, and SF pudding
S: TBD
D: Turkey breast, broccoli/cauliflower au-gratin, sliced orange/banana, and 2 squares dark chocolate
ES: Greek yogurt
E: 7 miles on the treadmill
V/W: On track
Totals: TBD based on snack choices
Have a great one!
Mornin' All!
Just a drive-by for now - I need to eat breakfast soon or I'll end up over-indulging!!
I have to take my mother to her physical therapy appt later this morning, but...that's it. Although I have quite a bit of IT work left to do for one of my organizations, so I'll probably end up trying to finish that up today. The rest of the week will be full of appts (mother and cat) and prepping stuff for Christmas. I need to stop by the gym today and get some exercise, too. It's vaccinated only on MWF, and on top of that, if I go during the day, it's never busy and most people who are there are seniors. Plus everyone masks. So hopefully... I did email the gym last night and suggest they limit the attendance on the Aqua Zumba classes that I usually attend. They're just too crowded to be safe during this omicron outbreak. They're in the morning, everyone there is a senior, which means they're probably all vaccinated since the senior vaccination rate in our county is well over 90%, BUT....Omicron doesn't seem to care about that. I decided after Friday's class that I"m not going again until after we're on the other side of this surge, unless they REALLY limit the number of people who can go. I did go to an Aqua Zumba class yesterday afternoon that I felt much safer at. I don't know if it was because there was a sub teaching it or not, but there were only five people there - so we could spread W-A-Y out. It felt OK... (and I mask even when I'm in a water fitness class).
QOTD: no - I didn't play sports. I swam A LOT, though. I was never on a team or anything, but I swam outdoors in the summer and indoors in the winter. When I got a little older, it was laps. Lots of laps. Almost every day. Plus I was a lifeguard for awhile, too (I did this mostly because I hated sharing lanes with people - and as a lifeguard, I could be guaranteed of having a lane to myself since I swam before or after the pool was open, when there were only other staffers there).
B: I'd better decide soon. Probably the last piece of cheesecake-flavored yogurt pie with blueberry compote. Coffee with half & half (already had that).
MS: I'll have something before I pick up my mom at 11:30 (since it's already almost 10:00, and I haven't had breakfast yet). Or I might just take an RTD protein shake with me.
L: this will be late - which is fine since it might help ward off afternoon snacking (my worst time). Either an egg salad or chickpea/miso sandwich
AS: if needed, Greek yogurt with raspberries
D: I think a crab cake and maybe some cole slaw made with Chinese-style dressing
have a great day, everyone!
I was telling myself I could go back to water exercise if I was careful. I called my gym and asked how many are coming to the classes. They have gone to one class a day at 8:30 AM and she said about 20 people attend. It is a big pool, so that would not be crowded. She told me that some people were using plastic face shields for water aerobics.
I ordered a supply of face shields from Amazon. Then I got a message that a friend had died from COVID. She was one of the water aerobic instructors at my club. She was a very strong and fit person. I could see her depending on her strength and vitality rather than a vaccine. She and her husband were taken to the hospital on a Friday with COVID. He died on Wednesday, she lasted until Saturday. I took that as a warning to stay away from the pool until this ends.
