Mornin' All!

I ended up not going to the funeral yesterday. I'd planned to go to the senior weight-training class at noon instead but never made it. The instructor does a pool-based resistance class today at noon which I've never been to, so I think I'll try that - just for something different. If for some reason I end up not going to that, at minimum I need to go to the weight room today because I haven't done any strength-training this week at all. Other than that, not much on the agenda. I'm currently making cottage cheese and will make chili (with chicken sausage) sometime today as well. And I should probably get cracking on some of these library books before they're all due!

QOTD: rarely. I have to be pretty exhausted to be able to nap outside of my usual bedtime. Sometimes I try - but it's pretty rare that I actually fall asleep.

B: plain skyr with chia seeds and fruit compote. Coffee with half & half.

MS: protein shake

L: yogurt pie with blueberry compote

AS: cottage cheese?

D: 1 C chili and some coleslaw made with Chinese-inspired dressing

have a great day, everyone!

Mernin' errybody, happy Wed-nes-day!

QOTD -I am a couch napper with 5 dog toppers. Other than that, at night, I'm definitely a bed sleeper. I don't like to be alone downstairs at night. I am a chicken.

Breakfast - coffee

Lunch - spinach salad, maybe a croissant.

Dinner - baked potatoes, fixin's and a salad

I hope you all have a great day!

Christina

Good morning! We definitely had tons of rain and amazing wind here yesterday -- our parking lot looks like Dorothy and Toto have recently been through. But as always, our weather extremes are pansy assed to most other places. And today has dawned as a very crisp 41 degrees and clear and quiet. I hope all you guys stay safe, warm and dry today. I agree with not going out if you don't absolutely need to!

QoTD: on occasion, but not very often.

Menu: just like yesterday's until dinner!

B: chicken sausage, spaghetti squash, roasted cauliflower and bell peppers, a bit of marinara and a bit of cottage cheese. So good!

L: chicken breast, roasted potatoes and butternut squash

D: new recipe. Baked eggs. Substituting crushed pork rinds for the bread crumbs and adding spaghetti squash, sundried tomatoes, spinach to the sautéed onion base.

Peace Everyone!

G'morning all!

QJB - that sounds like a very cool Xmas present

Got my booster yesterday, no side effects except for a very light headache that could have been caused by anything. I was even able to get my run in.

Question for those of you in colder climates. Have you heard of the new fashion trend balaclava? When DD was trying to explain it to me I thought she is talking about the ski masks with the two holes for eyes. But I guess now it's part of the street fashion. So...I'm knitting one for her as fast as my little hands can knit. She will be going to PA for New Years and I guess it's really cold there? Another one along these lines is a turtleneck hoodie where the part of the turtleneck can be used as a mask. Nothing like last minute Xmas present requests for hand made items; my fingers are cramping because I need to finish them by Fri before she arrives, even though Xmas is not for another 10 days. I'll post pics on Fri.

QOTD: not normally, although we have very comfy couches. DH, on the other hand, falls asleep watching TV EVERY single night.

My meals yesterday:

  • B: protein coffee
  • L: hb eggs & tuna
  • S: Fage yogurt
  • D: innards of two street tacos
  • E: 5 miles loop neighborhood wog

Happy hump day!

I use balaclava when I go downhill skiing or out for winter sports. I have noticed the trend for some to use them as a mask.

Oh, can't wait to see your creations! In the winter, I do regularly see people in the balaclava styles but will have to keep an eye out for the hoodie/turtleneck/mask!

Good Late Morning QJB and Menu folks. 3D printer for Home, how awesome is that? We have one at work that is used for replacement parts and prototypes, I do not get to "play" with it, am always amazed at what it can do!

I decided to leave work early yesterday, I got a couple of projects completed and Joddie was pleased when she returned home as I was ahead of the agreed upon timeline....LOL.

Tonight we are heading to Burlington VT again, have to pick up a couple of items that were out of stock at a craft store and we will stop at TJ and Costco!

Let me know if any of you have a cant miss at Trader joes

Friday evening we are heading to Lake Placid Ny, Home of the 1932 and 1980 Winter Olympics. LP is a great little town and is beautiful during the holidays. We are planning on eating at a little restaurant called the Cottage, hoping to be able to dine in a heated gondola overlooking mirror lake! First come first serve basis with no reservations so we will be happy to dine, period!

B - Greek light and fit yogurt

L - Chef salad

As - Turkey and cheese stick

D - unsure

E - 10,000 steps...

Stay healthy my friends, Mike
