G'morning all!

Weekend was low key, rainy and all, so we laid low and didn't do much.

First world problems: Every year I forget about our rainy season and my not being able to jog in the woods; it becomes too muddy and slippery. So I was texting with my trainer about my woes and she reminded me I can always run in the street. After clutching my pearls at the absurdity of my running in the streets, she assured me that I would survive and not melt. When I thought about it for a while I realized why I hate running in the streets; it stems from my heavy days and being embarrassed at being seen by the whole neighborhood. No matter what size I am I'm still embarrassed and that's why I prefer the solitude of the woods. To be clear I have done this in previous years during rainy season, but somehow I have a mental block about it. Well, today is the day that I need to pull up my big girl pants and get going on the streets. Wish me luck.

QOTD: honestly can't remember, maybe Xmas 2019?

My meals yesterday: all over the place so let's not talk about it.

Happy start of the week.

Ha, 1st World problem? That's a CALIFORNIA problem! But I hear you on the embarrassment of public running! The first time I decided to start running outside and not on the treadmill, I found a street close to my old condo that was a few miles long but it was deep in the woods and only had a few houses on it so that I could practice running without the fear of anyone watching me.

I have no idea why I assume that people would be obsessed with watching me do anything, lol. I know it isn't real...

I'm just gonna say that whenever I see a bigger person running or exercising, I am like YOU GO GIRL (or dude). I'm proud of them doing what I wouldn't even attempt!

Good morning! I had a really nice weekend. We left Saturday morning for Beverly Hills area and checked into our hotel (paid for in 2019 pre- Covid, so that felt like free money) and had an amazing dinner out. All fish! Like you people don't really know me, but until surgery I was 100% fish averse. Would not even try it! Then we spent the whole day at the Getty Museums (also free and gorgeous). My husband did all the driving so I got to really relax and we made it home in under 3 hours last night.

Interestingly, we noticed a new fashion trend at the museum and around the area. Seems like the new thing for these upscale areas is to forget your pants. I saw at least 10 women, of varying ages and sizes, with dresses SO short, I would almost call them a top. I asked my husband about it mid way through the day and he was like "no pants?? Dammit, I've been paying too much attention to the art!". One little breeze and all these women were going to showing off their lingerie selection of the day.

Today I have my COVID booster, a trip to the grocery store to round out my menu for the week, need to pop over to the mall and see if I can find a cute sweater to match my outfit for a fancy dinner on Friday and getting my hair blonded up again. Busy day!

QoTD: I've been able to see my family in bits and pieces, though over the summer we were out at the campgrounds and my Dad joined us. So all the adult kids in San Diego came out for a bbq. That was really nice. Last big get together was 9 days before lock down at (what used to be) our annual St. Patty's day party.

Menu:

B: left over chicken and butternut squash. (Love leftovers and pre-surgery, I would have fried an egg and thrown it on top because anything with an egg is breakfast, right?)

L TBD maybe out, so grilled chicken or something

D: roasted chicken sausage, spaghetti squash which is cooking right now, cauliflower, mozz and sauce

Peace Everyone!
