You have been successful at weight loss surgery, even if you had a recent gain. Today I am 11 pounds over my goal. There have been times when I have been 30 pounds over and times when I have been 10 pounds under. It is one day at a time. Don't let that doctor discourage you. Every day is a chance to start over and when you are ready, you will lose that weight again.

Thank you! I always feel like I fail at everything. It's easier to see the bad things than the positive things. Sometimes it takes seeing the perspective of others to see that maybe I'm not that bad after all .

Good morning! QJB hang in there, after your marathon day, it will be hump day...and a scheduled 12 hour Tuesday should mean a 4 hour Friday:-).

qotd - I can talk to anyone, any size group about anything, any time.

I used to be painfully shy, with a stutter (also red hair and glasses) but when I was a jr in high school I walked in and joined the speech and debate team because I knew I needed to do something. My first competitive speech I burst into tears and ran out of the room. It got better from there!

menu today will be

usual coffee plus half and half x3

Greek yogurt with muesli

everroast chicken

tbd on dinner, I need to run a couple errands after work so will depend on the timing

I have Pilates this morning so that will be my exercise

have a great Tuesday!

Oy! This is the second morning in a row that I've spilled my first cup of coffee ALL. OVER. EVERYTHING. This morning it include spilling it all over a brand new sweater - waaa! Apparently I either need to get up earlier to drink my first cup of coffee before the toddler wakes or I need to use a cover cup.

QOTD: Public speaking is my jam! I did Speech and Debate in high school and it gave me the confidence to be a rock star public speaker, if I do say so myself. As a children's librarian, I did storytimes and presented programs to kids and families all the time. When I moved into the role of an Executive Director, my audience changed, but I continued to need to speak publicly on the regular. In my new role, I give trainings, present to elected officials, and advocate for libraries in various settings. My director does not love public speaking, so she sends me out a lot to represent our department (which is fine, since she's retiring in 2 years and this helps set me up to get her job).

I did NOT follow my plan at all yesterday. I need to get back at it today for goodness sake!

8:30 - coffee, scrambled eggs

11:30 - yogurt, chia seeds, half a banana

2:30 - protein shake, carrots and dip

6 - Taco Tuesday

8:30 - rice cake with PB, almonds

I pretty much always need a lidded cup! I am a klutz! What types did you do in speech and debate? I did mostly impromptu and persuasive and avoid true debate...in college I did a bit of Reader's Theater which I loved.

This was early 90s and my best and favorite persuasive speech was on convincing people that SAD was real and light therapy works.

Good morning QJB and menu folks. I wondered to myself if you had really started this thread 4 hours ago! Nap time today!

I walked a mile and a half at lunch yesterday! My normal routine was to go home and I would always snack and come back to work and eat at my desk! Last evening we decided to change our plans, we were barely home last weekend so we decided to skip the gym , Joddie took a nap and I ran on the TM and did a few dumbell exercises. Was really nice to stay home. we went from 50's and raining to 21 over night. Everything is frozen...sidewalk and driveway was slick this morning.

QOTD - I am usually very comfortable as long as I am prepared. 20 years ago my Cousin was ordained a Catholic Priest, there was a large banquet following his first mass, many priests, the bishop.....at the last minute I had to stand in for my Dad to say a few words and reflect on my cousins journey, I was a little intimidated by the crowd, but did well, considering....LOL.

Accountability - I added 4 cups of skinny pop and a handful of peanuts to my daily yesterday. Measured, I did not graze so that is a good thing!

B - I bought TJ Eggwich over the weekend, yum.

S - Greek light and fit

L - Salad, Ham, light cheese stick, cukes, Sun Dried Tomato Dressing

S- Turkey/cheese stick

D - Baked Pork Chops/ asparagus

E - Gym Night
