Happy Monday -- and yay for the final week for you QJB! Don't wear yourself out this last week. I don't know about you but when I step out of a stressful situation, I've always gotten sick...it's like your body final says "oh yeah, it's about me NOW"....so hopefully that's what you were dealing with this weekend and now it's out of your way so you can enjoy the mini break!
QOTD - yes, I've always been "big boned", "good Polish farm girl", "curvy" -- all things my grandmother would say to make me feel better about being in 6X or husky clothes (I remember when the X was for "extra special", lol).
Busy day today with lots of meetings and a key deliverable tomorrow that I need to prep for; we're going to have a super busy sprint to the end of the calendar year. I spent a large chunk of yesterday decorating the house for christmas and some how made an absolute mess; will need to clean up today and tomorrow too.
menu today
coffee plus half and half X 3
greek yogurt topped with museli
ever roast chicken
falafel
Ex - pilates this mornining
Have a great Monday everyone!

Good morning QJB and Menu Folks. We had a busy weekend, Friday night we went shopping, Saturday morning - more shopping and out for breakfast, Saturday evening we went to a Christmas Party, pre- covid they would have 600 plus people attend, this year there was less than 150. Huge Ball room felt empty, all guest had to provide proof of vaccination or negative test result within 72 hours of the party. We had to drive home in a Blizzard, visibility was zero, huge flakes and hard to tell where we were on the road as the plows were not out. Sunday we went shopping at the outlets in Lake George NY.
I am working on grazing and accountability. I need to quit a handful here and a handful there so will add accountability to my daily, starting tomorrow. I am going to stop going home at lunch time, I always snack when I do, a handful or two of peanuts....etc. I am going to walk at lunchtime and then eat at my desk.
*** Edited to add the QOTD - I can remember how humiliating it was as youngster to be shopping and they had Husky sizes. Mom would always have to ask if they had something in a Husky size....I slimmed down in my teens and then ballooned after HS.
B - Greek light and fit and Raspberries
L - Salad, ham, light string cheese, cukes and sun dried tomato dressing.
S - Turkey and cheese stick
D - Turkey kielbasa and Shaved brussel sprouts
E - Gym Night

Been over two months since we've had measurable moisture here. There are still roses on some bushes. It's 24 here so they'll be gone probably very soon.

hi all
weekend was a good one. DH' birthday was Saturday so we did birthday things. I did buy and eat a little baggie of praline pecans. they were yummy and i spread them out over 2 days. then once home i did grocery planning for the next day.
sunday i did the grocery pickup and i actually went back into the gym for almost 40 minutes. trying to get back and the scale rewarded me by spiking up 2 pounds.
food planning should be good this week: we plan on chicken sloppy joes, prager fish finger, meatless burger, lots of good stuff
QOTD: yes, i was a heavy child, started about 5. That is when family and kids at school started making comments and jokes. I was in WW by 2nd grade.
Food today:
B: coffee/ oat chia protein concoction
s:
b: salad with grilled chicken
s:
d: depends what DH wants
s: TBD
Mornin' All!
today is DH's b-day. He has a virtual meeting from 9-10, but took the rest of the day off. So I'll head over to the gym in awhile and get some exercise while he's in his meeting. Not sure what he has cooked up for the rest of the day, other than we're meeting the rest of the family at a Mexican place for dinner.
speaking of gyms, starting today mine is vaccinated-only on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays. YAY!! My county is now one of the top three in the country for percentage of people vaccinated, and most people are really good about being masked, but this will be even better! So I will plan to go now on MWF
QOTD: I was overweight (but not obese) at least through college. I remember getting down to about 150 lbs during my first trek through graduate school (which for me is a normal BMI - albeit near the top). Then overweight again for awhile. I didn't start getting super fluffy until I hit around age 30 - then it was constantly uphill from there. My mother, though, CONSTANTLY hounded me about my weight my entire life. Looking back at pictures of myself, I looked totally fine, even though I was technically overweight for many of those years. I think she was very embarrassed that I was often in the 80th or 90th percentile for weight, but then, I was also the tallest kid in my class until 7th grade (so in other words, I was also in the 80th or 90th percentile for height, too). Honestly, I think she was super jealous a couple of years after my WLS when I got into the 130s. Now that I'm 160 (give or take, depending on the day), she gloats because she's lighter than me. I haven't bothered to point out that she's 5' tall, and I'm 5'6", so with her 130-something weight, she actually has a higher BMI than I do. But she's 87 years old now. I just let her gloat.
B: plain skyr with fruit compote, coffee with half & half
MS: protein shake
L: miso-chickpea sandwich with cucumber and tomato slices
AS: protein muffin
D: two street tacos, piece of b-day cake
have a great day, everyone!
