So...turns out NVIDIA is the arch rival of my husband's company. When I showed it to him he almost cringed and with indignity said I'm not NVIDIA!
He said it's a custom designed PCB board that somebody has put the ruler markings on it but he wouldn't be able to make it.

Once I was doing an assignment for asics shoes. i called ahead to ask what the desk code was. I was told only two rules: no dress suits and nothing with a Nike swatch.

Didn't mean to get you in trouble, LOL.

I always thought that NVIDIA made chips for gamers and that your husband's company made them for business computers, but that's probably a vast oversimplification.

I was reading that the reason they made the ruler was that young engineers have spent so much time in the virtual world that they have trouble imagining the physical sizes of things and wanted to give them a reference.

I think that Marilyn ordered him one on EBAY along with the special graph paper he was looking for.

According to him NVIDIA is getting into networking, artificial intelligence and automotive, hence becoming a competitor of his company.

Leave it to moms to find anything the kids want. I'm on a hunt for something too and will not rest until I can find it for DS.

When my husband is in "starfish" mode, the snoring threatens to break the windows. I don't even open my eyes, I just reach out and flip one arm down and he knows he's on thin ice and rolls over. Oh the snoring in my house...you can't even imagine. the neighbors talk about it.

Two words: CPAP machine.
Have him tested for sleep apnea.

Oh, he has terrible sleep apnea and owns a CPAP machine. He doesn't like and chooses not to use it 85% of the time. I've argued until I have no words left. I make sure his life insurance is up to date, and the spare bedroom always has fresh sheets. He's an adult, and gets to make his own choices. But no one in our neighborhood would convict me of murder if I snapped one night.

LOL. I have the reversed story.
He was snoring for the longest time and when he would stop in mid sleep I was always happy not realizing he had stopped breathing. He was at a "only Fathers/kids" weekend outing and one of his buddies told him he needs to get checked because he stops breathing constantly. Turns out the guy who told him to get checked is also the one who set up our life insurance. After we discovered he has sleep apnea I told the guy he ruined my plans of getting rid of my husband and cash in the life insurance money.

Yep, the article said the advantage of starfish is that its good for your back and disadvantage is snoring.
