Good morning, everybody:
I was surprised at how many side sleepers there were yesterday, so I did a little more research. It seems that side sleeping is the most common way to sleep, and particularly so among women.
Among back sleepers, there are a couple of variations: Soldier style is on your back with your hands at you side. Starfish style is on your back with your arms over your head. Mostly, I sleep solider, but sometimes starfish.
Some articles claim to be able to discern personality patterns and even earnings potential from sleeping styles. Whether that is cause, correlation, or coincidence I have no idea.
There are even different couples sleeping patterns. Marilyn and I are considered to be "cliffhangers". After a certain amount of babble about relationship distance, the author finally admitted that couples may sleep that way to stay cool.
Their is one sleeping pattern in which couples sleep in a fetal position, facing each other, with faces close together, like a heart. I am calling BS on that one. It seems obviously fake and a way to get blasted with somebody's morning breath upon waking.
Also spooning. I don't think that couples spend the whole night spooned, unless they are trapped in a blizzard on a mountain in Nepal. We last about 5 minutes before one of us overheats.
Sheila, does your DH have an NVIDIA PCB Ruler? Its an engineering collectible on on my son's Christmas list, but it seems to be only available at the NVIDIA company store and on EBay.
12 Days of Christmas did not disappoint and we got the tree and wreaths up, which was my goal for the week.
I'm not sure if we are having happy hour this week. I will probably log in and see if anyone joins me. I know one couple is away, one might be and Marilyn has tennis. Other than that, tomorrow is Crossfit and then a glorious day of college football conference championships (sorry, Lana), wine and charcuterie. Sunday might be Christmas shopping, although I am not sure if the Oak Brook Luis Vuitton has been restocked following the robbery.
