Good morning, everybody!

I'm feeling festive because its 12 Days of Christmas WOD.

1 squat clean

2 push presses

3 Deadlifts

4 Goblet Squats

5 bar facing burpees

6 spiderman push-ups

7 toes to bar

8 wallballs

9 pull-ups

10 box jumps

11 kettle bell swings

12 wall walks

In the format of the song, so 365 reps. I'm not going to lie, the 12 wall walks are going to be a sweaty, wheezing mess. Unfortunately, I am doing this as a makeup class, so I won't have the Christmas Carol accompaniment on the speakers. later this afternoon, we are going to pick out our Christmas tree. Should be a great day.

QOTD: I am a back sleeper 100%. After two good long nights of sleep, I was back to my 51/2 and unable to fall back this morning.

Breakfast: Sausage and cottage cheese

Lunch: Sandwich

Dinner: TBD

Have a great day, all!

Good morning crew! I was supposed to have a bunch of meetings today, but several got cancelled - yippee - so I'm just left ONE tonight for our board. The board meetings at my library when I was the ED were like 1-2 hours typically. The board meetings here are considered long if they hit 30 minutes! Of course part of that is they're currently virtual so there's less chit chat, etc, but this is also just an advisory board as opposed to a "real" board - so I think that makes a difference as well.

Anyway, I won't look a gift horse in the mouth, when it comes to cancelled meetings - so I'm buckling down on some grant writing today.

8:30 - coffee, egg bites

11:30 - protein shake, apple

2:30 - yogurt, chia seeds, carrots

6 - the beef with lentils we were supposed to eat last night, but plans changed

8:30 - almonds, rice cake, PB

Why Chia Seeds? I found some in the pantry yesterday and I do not know the Nutrional value.

I like them because they're high in fiber and iron. They basically balloon up in the yogurt and that bulk helps me stay fuller longer.

Mornin' All!

it was a busy day yesterday and it will be again today. I have online Mah Jongg at 9:00 am, then I'm going to go to that senior strength training class again at 11:00 (the one I went to on Tuesday - this is a nice diversion from working out in the weight room, so I'll do this as an alternative once or twice a week). I'm hosting another Zoom lecture this afternoon. Plus there are some things I need to do for a couple of my organizations today. This is all good - it should help keep me from grazing. Fortunately, I'm not feeling bloated this morning even though I ate way too many of Ina Garten's parmesan thyme crackers that someone brought to the film group yesterday (NOTE: the recipe is all over the internet, but do NOT make them. They are too damned addictive...UGH!). Anyway, I'm glad that I'm feeling normal this morning. I'm hoping today will be a better eating day (and it should be - no eating events on the docket - plus I'll be occupied a good chunk of the day).

QOTD: I always sleep on my left side, but I'm OK on my bac****asionally now (although it's not my preference). I got used to that after my RNY and three plastic surgeries, since I had to do that for awhile while I was healing. My senior kitty LOVES it when I sleep on my back since he can then sleep on my stomach - but I can only hold that position for so long...

B: if we have any protein pancakes left, I'll have a couple of those topped with plain skyr and some kind of fruit compote. If no pancakes, then just the skyr and compote. Coffee with half & half.

MS: protein iced latte

L: chickpea/miso sandwich with cucumber and tomato slices

AS: protein muffin (?)

D: i bought a thing of Buono Italian beef last night since it gets rave reviews - plus it has lot of protein and the calories are OK. I rarely eat beef (or any meat, really), but given the reviews, I had to try it. So probably that and some kind of vegetable

have a great day, everyone!
